Level 10!

Time to play SP mode I guess.
From the scale one to ten, how hard to find the scrolls?
It varies a lot. Some are right in the path almost and others are hidden under platforms and stuff that you can't even see with the camera
I'm up to world three and haven't had too much trouble. Only replayed a couple levels.

Yet another communication error. At least I got to Level 10 before it started.

Off to single player for now, & then I'll try getting back online.

It seems to be impossible to get the girl amiibo. The stores in my town did not even get it, only boy amiibos.
Called a gamestop in the next bigger city "oh, yeah we got like 4-5 but all of them are pre-ordered" ~_~"

Can't afford the prices on amazon and ebay ._.

sounds tough for me, lol

I am having a hard time finding them, but I am terrible at finding hidden stuff in games, so...

Me too, currently stuck in level 2 XD

Same here, well close to anyway. ;)

Only had one instance where I noticed lag. Paint wasn't showing up for a second or two when I was shooting and then I got disconnected.
Only happened once in 8 hours of play though.

LOVE this game so damn much! Didn't expect it to fall for it this bad.
Same here (Spain), only one disconnection and 2 instances of lag that lasted for 10 seconds or so. It doesn't matter if I'm playing against Japan, America or whatever, the battles are flawless.

I was thinking of creating a Miiverse post showing the location of the scrolls for all of the levels. Though I thought guides would be more helpful.
So I just noticed something really dumb but also hilarious about the final boss (spoilers, obviously): https://d3esbfg30x759i.cloudfront.net/ss/zlCfzTZ-BkUEonfRKF

If you can't see it
the missile is wearing shades.
I love this game's stupid humor.
This final boss just keeps on giving.

And that reminds me, I faced it again yesterday to show my sister and was surprised that
there is unique dialogue for repeat battles. And the reasoning for the fight is hilarious.
I woke up excited to play and find out my broadband provider is currently having network interference.

Sobs.
lol, that just means its time to play more single player.

Splat Roller inking over everything around our spawn. Better instantly super jump to the opposite side of the map to somebody who was on a suicide mission.

I just noticed that myself as I replayed it. I love how polished the single player is.

Unexpected yet timely arrival today!

What are you thoughts on the blaster?

Seems like It has some really nice but niche uses. Still, the range is too short, imo.

Man I've been loving this game. I've clocked in 16 hours (the game has only been out for 30) and I'm level 15 , with 4 of the singleplayer worlds completed.

Here's my inkling's outfits!

I play a lot of CS so I base my opinions vs that, and when paired with JP players the registration is very poor. The netcode may be phenomenal for US vs US players but no shooter is gonna play good when you are putting that big a distance between the players.

Luckily this game is more about shooting the ground than people with moving hitboxes that must be calculated server-side, although I notice my ink lagging behind my roller when it's obvious that I'm on Japanese host.

Is matchmaking algorithm (or lack thereof) considered part of netcode? Serious question, because I never thought it was. Otherwise, netcode seems to be decent for US to JPN except when you get the really bad ink lag, and great for same region. Perhaps there's very few other people playing in the region especially compared to the JPN population playing. But yes, they should prioritize same region when it's distances like Japan.

It definitely isn't flawless though...for lvl 15 worth of matches using only chargers I seem to get more and more frustrated as the night gets later and JPN people get on. My 10-15 win streaks become 10-15 loss streaks. So either Japanese players have just been way better than US players or something is off (which I can feel with a charger). I doubt it's the former and maybe I'm also just tired.

Nintendo better ship more inkling girlmiboos. Didn't get mine that I had preordered :-(

Singleplayer seems good so far, only a few levels in though. More connection issues online today, when it works I find it godly though. Really want a replay function, had some nice splats today.

Regarding lag, there are definitely times where you will experience some weird stuff, for example Rollers tend to have a fun little thing happen where a Roller runs at you,you splat him and then as you run past his corpse a second later you get splatted by him.

Another thing that can happen is some very very slight warping, but it barely ever happens.

I'm sure the netcode is different but in Smash 4 I always see a little lag while Splatoon works perfectly for me. Maybe I should play Smash only with gaffers.

Man, is there any way to stop someone with an octopus power up? I always make a run for it when I see someone pop that. Seems a little overpowered.

I wonder how many people assume you can only super jump from the spawning point
I wonder how many people realize you can Super Jump TO the Spawn Point. If the enemy is being sneaky, then that's a totally valid option since you're invincible on it.

This game... so good.

I am so bad at it... but it is so good. Also I hate motion controls with the passion of a 1000 suns and yet this games motion controls are really well done. Go figure the thing that got me to stop playing Witcher 3 was a Nintendo game.

Added myself to the list. I can't wait to eventually play with some of GAF.

That satisfying feeling when your team is losing, but on the last few seconds you bazooka some enemy ink and net your team a victory by 0.1%
