The gyro controls are terrible. Thank god you can turn them off.

Running away is the only option, really. It doesn't last for very long so you just have to wait for it to run out.Man, is there any way to stop someone with an octopus power up? I always make a run for it when I see someone pop that. Seems a little overpowered.
Single player is worth the ride and you do get unlocks. The general impressions I've been reading and the small part of the GB Quick look I watched pushed me over the edge to get this from the eshop. I honestly can't remember the last time I've got in to a multi-player game but this looks really fun and unique so looking forward to giving it a go when the download is finished.
Is it recommended to jump straight into multi-player or go through the single player? do you get unlocks by playing single player?
I'll add you now. NNID is DodgeDuskWould love to play with some gaffers later. Tried opening the spread sheet but it didn't work on mobile. NNID is nezumi1982
Please add me![]()
I did until last night when I tapped the map by mistake and leapt to a teammate on the other side of the map.I wonder how many people assume you can only super jump from the spawning point
Can anyone explain to me what the ranked mode is, exactly? When is ranked going to be ready

You are using them properly? Try a few matches, it's the best way to play the game. The gyro controls are terrible. Thank god you can turn them off.
I've runned through stage 2 4 times and can't find the scroll, I must have missed something obvious *-*

Yep, thanks. At the second platform of the stage, when you are on the grill after the first ink cleaner, let yourself fall through the grill, and it's here

I feel like they would be perfect if I could control x and y with both. No matter how much I play with them I still try to move up and down with the stick then remember I have to with gyro then do it with the gyro then forget I can use the stick at all and I'm facing the wrong way and then I use the stick to turn my inkling and then forget I can't use up and down on the stick again because i don't exactly operate the best under pressure and it's just a mess. They're awful in their current state and super disorienting. I will accept the gyro into my heart if they just add that little option. They are not terrible. You are terrible at them. Crucial difference.![]()

Maybe I just need to use y more. It just feels so disorienting and I never feel 100% in control. I'll give it some more time tomorrow. I can see why people like it. The precision in small movements is vital. I just spend so much time doing mental push-ups that I don't have time to splat anyone lol.I agree that it's odd they don't let you control the X axis with sticks while gyro is enabled. Still, I think it works great regardless. I use Y a lot instantly recenter the camera which negates the need for much of what I'd use the sticks for.
Overall, I'm not really impressed by the game. It's kinda fun, but I find it even more lacking than Mario Kart 8. At least in Mario Kart 8 you could race offline too and spend some time learning the game there. When I played my first regular match on Splatoon I was confused.
the last boss was inkredible loved the singleplayer
dat last song
Confused about what???
I was level 1 and I was there with level 5+ opponents. Also, it was more fast paced that I anticipated. Both of those problems got solved pretty quickly though.
Sounds like overwhelmed is a more accurate word than confused. Because that's how I felt for the first few games.I was level 1 and I was there with level 5+ opponents. Also, it was more fast paced that I anticipated. Both of those problems got solved pretty quickly though.
I think the scroll I struggled to find the most was the invisible platform level.
I only found it because I accidentally hit the hidden invisible platform with some ink
Right im out with the kids but will ignore single player to get the last couple of levels to do my bit.According to Nintendo, we're almost there.

I'd recommend starting on Single Player, maybe only for the first couple of levels, just to get used to the gyro controls. I think the Single Player is a really good way of learning the mechanics of the game.

So that blue box that appears when searching for people. What does it do? I know it increases as you win or something (Lukewarm, Toasty, Smoking etc). Does it affect anything?
Faceroll with Krak-On or Jr.I'm on a bad losing streak. What should I do?
Is it your team? I had this problem bad last night.I'm on a bad losing streak. What should I do?
