I've fallen to A+ twice in the last two days (the first time was purely because of fucking disconnects), didn't lose a single game while I was on that rank so going back to S felt pretty damn easy, though I gotta admit I won a pair of them just by mere luck.

The last match I needed to win yesterday in order to climb back to S was on Moray Towers, we were down 100-1 with only 10 seconds left in the clock, but then the other team was dumb enough to focus on only one of the splatzones and I somehow managed to kill them all at the same time, after that it was just a matter of playing defensively and wait for them to always make the first move. That win was so damn rewarding.

yea my win to loss ratio today on rank has been bad i havent de ranked yet but have come very close a couple times its but a very tough day cant wait for rainmaker to be back so i can try and get out of A+ rank.

Bucket vs Gatling Gun in shooter. Which one drums up more hype by default? ;)

In all honesty I mainly use it in ranked, specifically Tower Control and Rainmaker. I only ever see a few others use it ranked compared to Turf Wars which is rare. It's a great weapon both defensively and offensively. I guess the charging turns some people off from it?

Yeah that is a weird loadout o_O. Even as some one who never uses it I wonder...why? Lol. Octobrush Nouveau looks to be the hotness when that's finally out though.

It never ends well for Azure. Poor guy.

Though I do remember the last time I joined a room of his. I was leveling up gear and using the Slosher, which I suck with, and it kept on picking Moray Towers, which I suck at. I ended up eventually just switching to my roller because I can't slosher but I think he might have left by that point, can't remember too well. lol. I definitely did better with the roller though!

I'm speaking mostly out of personal preference when I say I like those maps as a roller xD I like every map as a roller actually, so I'm more of an outlier when it comes to justifying which maps are good for rollers. They're all fun to me haha. Technically however, any gun with better range would have an advantage against a roller, so in that regard, any strategy would work better for any weapon with range on any map. it doesn't mean rollers can't use those strategies though, they'll just have a different and tougher way of doing it for the most part, but it's doable! (Except sniper strategies of course, for obvious reasons). those maps aren't that bad really, even though it's just my personal experience talking. But in general, I can agree that rollers would have a disadvantage from the start in those maps when faced against a longer ranged gun, simply because they can shoot at the zone at a safe place while the roller can't.

I don't understand what you mean for turf wars though. Shouldn't that reasoning apply to every map? So why are camp and bluefin bad in turf war for a roller, compared to them being good with the other maps?

That's true. I just feel you have to rely on teammates more as a roller on those maps because you can be zoned out easily if you're alone.

I like to use it in Turf War :) But it's true you don't come across the Splatling very often, I see more Sloshers that Splatlings. I tried using the Splatling in Tower Control and went alright in matches where I was matched with fellow B rankers, but then we got matched with a full team of A rankers and they just outmaneuvered me good. I want to try it in Rainmaker... I'll never use it for Splat Zones XD

If you join discord (2nd post) there's always people looking to squad. Its much easier to coordinate and where we've moved a lot of the discussion.

I think I'm just not gonna' touch Splat Zones for a while. I find I have the most fun with Blasters. And I'm certain that they aren't bad in the mode, but I can't get them to work without massive death counts. Someone needs to make a good video guide so I can lrn to git gud. :p

Ok, GGs with everyone I played with tonight! From the squads that led to the crazy streak of rainmaker wins to Azure's private lobby of lolz and PJSalt. Used the rapid blaster for the second time ever, that was nuts.

Splatling works very well in RM. Bursts the shield in a few seconds with a full charge. Only map that I feel is terrible for it is Saltspray RM. Splat Zones can be effective with the splatling as well, but you gotta be a mixed attacker and know when to support from far and charge and kill everyone in sight. Still love the slosher though :)

There are certain sniper spots that make my roller ass hate life. Unfortunately I can't find them.

Also Azure, rollers > bushes get out.

Besides, if the other players clear the way while one player rides the tower from start to finish getting zero kills, was he useless?

I've seen enemy teams with over 20 kills and still they've lost.

I wouldnt mind with rainmaker because making the path to the goal to easily swim for the guy holding it is helpful

I don't think I've ever seen a Tower Control game where someone (excluding AFKs) went 0/0, now that I think about it. Happens in Rainmaker often, can happen in Turf War, rare in Splat Zones... But have never seen it happen with TC.

lol, I made a terrific run-up back to A 96 in Zones this morning, then lost 20 points with a couple of really disappointing losses when matchmaking took my 3 good teammates and pitted them against me. One of them was an S rank who got a kill on me during my final match, then squidkidded me. This even after sharing many booyahs together as teammates. He had even been using my beacons, highly unusual in my experience.

Splatoon hates me.

I think I went 0-0 the other day on TC where everything tried to kill me but I lived and my squadmates were protecting me by clearing the enemy team.

I remember playing tower control in a squad a while back, at the end of one game I only ended up with 3 kills because it felt like every time I was about to kill someone, Emil or Kasumi would show up out of nowhere to finish them off before I could land the final hit lol
