Gay porn is where it's at.
so the splinter cell games are on sale on steam, so i figured might as well grab one of them for $3. my experience with splinter cell games is very limited, i remember playing one on the OG xbox back in the day and dropping it because i found it way too hard(i think it was pandora tomorrow? honestly can't remember) anyways, decided to go with chaos theory, as it is the most beloved one by far from the fans.
fast forward 5 hours later and my mind is blown. how the fuck did they make this game back in 2005?
starting off, I swear mouse wheel control of movement is the most genius thing I've seen in stealth action games, why more games don't copy it?
second off all, iam blown the fuck away with how many options they give you to finish a level, It's ridiculous the amount of ways you can solve situations. In fact, simply killing every guard and going straight to the objective almost feels like a waste, the game is begging you to be creative and try to fool the guards. How the hell did we go from that to the usual "detective vision" that every game under the sun now has now? The mission variety is very good, from military bases to traditional japanese buildings. I liked how every level has its own little twist, like an abundance of cameras or maybe candles that can't just be shot out.
the soundtrack..ohh my days the soundtrack...this is probably one of the best OSTs ever put in a game imo, they did not need to go this hard on the soundtrack of a stealth game. but they did
all in all, this is a masterpiece in very sense of the word. it aged like fine wine. i cannot wait to play more of this
