Nah, it takes longer now. There's a few Marvel characters that have been dead and stayed that way for awhile. Wolverine, for one, has been dead for nearly 2 years now.
That said, on to the topic: this event sucks.
Duggan gave him a good series to send off with, I think the COMICS thread summed it up as once they gave him armor and a gun, it was over.

These event books almost always have a SHOCKING death to drum up sales, but in this case, it completely falls flat. Not like Banner have been much of a player for a past year or so, so him dying doesn't really feel significant. And that's not even getting into the fact this will be reversed in two years, tops.

It changes based on whatever story the writer wants. But for the most part, yes, he's been more in control for the past 30 years (or the Hulk has been shown to be more intelligent irrespective of Banner). Even the Savage Hulk wasn't really this genocidal monster who just mass murders heroes like Bendis is alluding to here; not without cause at least (like Banner committing psychic suicide back in the 80s which led to the Hulk going nuts and thrashing 2 Avengers teams).

Cho has already been the Hulk for months now. Even if he wasn't Marvel has multiple version of Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, and Spider Man running around. 'Getting' Cho does nothing to justify killing Banner.

theyve actually been pretty good with the dead staying dead for a period of time, and a reason as to why some manage to come back.
then again. they have a bunch of characters that arent dead but just gone, probably never to be seen again
spidey needs that power boost now. too many spiders have skill sets that outclass him.

I'm with the whole let's just get rid of Bendis group. Never understood the hate he got till he was pretty much given free reign to fuck the Marvel Universe up after Secret Wars.
miles has a ohko move. cindy is faster, with more durable webbing, kaine is stronger, although lacking the sense. spider man is just the imprint theyve all improved on in one way or another
But none of them know how to bring it together with super smarts, Miguel is the closes in that area. Plus he can bite people

Given some time to actually become an adult, Miles will completely outclass him.

they'll bring back a spock clone body for that very reason
if hes ever allowed to grow out of ult petes shadow, even after nonexistance, maybe. but even then i dont think he has the arms to box with god.
I could see Miles getting completely out the game around 30ish and settling down with Bombshell

Marvel without Hickman is a huge loss. I'm dying to see him return.
Everyone knows that he's the Hulk now. He's been the only active one (other than She-Hulk) since ANAD first started. I think canonically he's been the Hulk for about 4 months in-universe time. And he's already had several teamups with a lot of the heroes standing on that lawn. And he was at that party in the 1st issue where people should have definitely known that it was him and not Banner.
You know, die, take a break, take in the sights, grab a sandwich and be back just in time for another event comic.
Something something skrulls whatever.
