Mahouka 11
Batman Niisama (Tatsuya) now tells his senpai about his faults reminiscing about when he had those faults. Then Magic Olympics. The school president looked pretty cute in her second outfit.
This is why you shouldn't have waited long to tell them the truth, Hime. Especially when your rival knows and is more than willing to tell.
This was probably Yuuko's best episode since she joined HapCha Precure in the first place. She was actually able to talk to Hime and console her and reassure her that they don't hate her and will always be friends. I don't suspect it'll be long before her one-note rice and other food obsession returns, but she was good here.
Contrast that to Megumi, who at the end, frankly came off as very tone-deaf toward Hime. The happiness and positivity that she was feeling then really seemed to blind her toward the despair and anxiety that Hime was feeling. When you're fighting alongside Fortune after the proposal she made, touching Ribbon's nose together, and then tell her with a smile "I have something to tell you", how the hell did Megumi think she was going to react? Of course in her state she's going to assume the worst.
Precure Hunter is coming. This will likely be where all four team up, work together, and pretty much team up from that point. Nothing special, but I would like to see a little more into Fortune's character.
No Game No Life 11
*killer rin has died of laughter
The last episode net week should be good. I feel like they can fit in that last chapter at a reasonable pace. Going to be really sad that its over though. A second season better be in the talks. Though, its nice that the Translators for the Light Novels have went into hyper speed. At this rate Volume 4 might be translated by the end of the week with Volume 5 two weeks later
Just checked the show out yesterday after seeing it getting so many recommendations and yeh...
I mean even now I just can't believe how nonchalant shows are about that kind of fanservice. Dunno what it actually says but when the English dub even mentions s.th. like "this would be like child porn if he were in the bath with me" just... uh. What?
Well, my opinion on /r/anime's majority opinion has gotten worse and worse. Looks like the larger part of that subreddit is indeed the audience that this shit is pandering to.
No game no life gets so much attention there and shit, Brynhildr in the Darkness and "Akuma no Riddle" are also well liked and.. well when I checked those out I had to realize that THOSE TOO are your generic, badly written, Ecchi, harem wish fulfillment shows.
I was seriously looking at some of the episode discussions and people talk about the shows like they have meaningful plot and characters and then... then I actually give them a watch and it's just garbage. What the hell.
Which shows are actually good this season? I do like Mekakucity Actors and am currently waiting for the season to finish so I can binge-watch the last bunch of episodes. Ping Pong seems somewhat well liked but I'm really not sure if I'd actually end up liking it. Are 'Mushishi' and 'Hitsugi no Chaika' worth giving a try?
Ooooooh yeah BONES this is more like it. Chaika delivers on everything Soul Eater Not does not. As expected from an episode storyboarded by Iwao Teraoka, the action is really well choreographed, and it's pretty damn exciting to watch. This climax is really shaping up to be an explosive end to the season. The various plot elements the show has been building up are starting to intertwine now, and while it's great to stuff coming together, it's going to be pretty painful next week knowing that the rest of the story doesn't continue until October. It's going to hurt so good. <3

You actually need to see what the anime has to offer aside from that fanservice. No game no life actually has different levels of fanservice , from references to other material ( jojo phoenix wright and the list goes on ) to situation that might be lewd but are 99.99% of the time censored by the fact that they show nothing.
More than that , NO gamùe no life doesn't relies on fanservice as his main selling point , it just use it as a distraction for what matters : the game and how the main characters are winning.
My point is : Some anime have fanservice , heck almost all of them do ! But when it's not the main focus and the anime is self aware of it , it's not surprising that people actually enjoy what matters , the thing that isn't fanservice.
^^ This was only about no game no life.
I'm pretty sure that people only watch akuma no riddle for the characters , not for the plot it provides... and that "bazzonga in darkness" is so bad people keep watching it
I didnt know anime communities considered akuma no riddle to be actually a good anime. Its one of the writers worst entries in written media, so it was disappointing from the start.
I think one could have easily looked up both shows and scene associated tags with them before going into them on the basis of an anime communities opinion.
The lewd moments of no game no life are really the only negative aspects to it, the source is strong.

It's probably good to note that the No Game No Life guy has done H doujins of Shiro, so it's not totally unexpected as an author appeal thing rather than straight-up fanservice.
It's an interesting case where the series' referential nature, creative games and over the top developments resonates with a decently-sized audience in spite of the fanservice. Just like with Needless, people can look past what they see as objectionable content if the rest appeals to them.
FUNimation almost pulled another "Sankarea" incident with Ben-To by releasing the TV-edit instead of the uncensored BD-content. More information here.
Shouldn't it just be a given that home video releases have a high chance of having uncensored content with all of the fanservice, gore, and Shaftness being involved today?

Is it really funi's fault? Seems someone on JPN side would have had to send the wrong version over, especially if this is something that is really not limited to just Funi.

Really wouldn't know whether it's FUNimation or the Japanese license holder to blame. You would think FUNimation would at least ask to see if they would be getting the BD-version since this situation has happened in the past.

I'd personally place it on the Japan side, not because I like Funimation, but because this business has been going on for a while. Both sides know how it goes with those shows that get uncensored on Blu-Ray, and its likely that is what International licensers are going for. Sending censored masters is just... well... wrong.
I need the next episode right now. What a great, exciting episode. Great action and some story revelations. This show got really bloody real fast.
NOOOOOOOOO Frederica D: She keeps getting wrecked horribly. First stabbed through the body and now her head. That was some gory shit, and that monster came out of nowhere. I hope she isnt dead, even though her bloody body is shown in the episode preview. Damnit!
Very surprised that blue Chaika wasnt some magician or super intelligent one, but a psycho sadistic prostitute. Damn damn damn Frederica T_T
Director Fuminori Kizaki will be making an appearance as a guest of honor at this year’s Anime Expo in Los Angeles, July 3-6 where a “sneak peek” of the English dub of BAYONETTA: Bloody Fate will be shown for fans at the convention, along with a special Q&A with Director Kizaki following on Saturday, July 5th, at 8:15pm in Video 1.
Out of all the ones to pull the lesbian antics, I honestly didn't expect it to be Nozomi. By far my favorite character is Nico. How she tries to be acknowledged/fit in from time to time is really cute. Not sure if I should just move onto season 2 or start Idolm@ster when I finish up tomorrow.
Psycho-Pass 02-13
I really must've been half asleep when I first saw this. I remembered the layout of the episodes quite well and even what happened in them, but as for real details I'd probably fail that. For instance I didn't realize that
the original Boogie Woogie died or that Oryo was the cause of the missing students and that those "sculptures" were her fellow classmates.
I'm going on a limb here and am going to guess that Akane has that disease where her Psycho-Pass can't be read accurately.
I disagree. If they had kept the drama longer it would have been better but after a couple of episodes it transformed into slice of life comedy and "I can't believe my three nieces are this c- get the fuck away from them you fat bastard I hope big tits senpai will notice me"
In fact let me go on record and say that the anime with the pretty boy taking care of his little cousin is da best for me. It had a decent amount of drama and a blooming romance that ended up being very good.
A blue Chaika? ARE THERE ANY OTHER CHAIKAS I SHOULD KNOW ABOUT
So it seems like the obvious is true and that all the Chaikas are "real". I just wonder how many there actually are. And is Frederica just going to get brutally "killed" every episode now?
Wow, actually good fight scenes, thanks for being BONES for once, BONES.
So Makoto's arc ends with Yuuichi promising to be with her forever right before
she disappears.
I did not like how they transformed Makoto's character during this last episode of her arc.
I get that she is transforming back into a fox, or disappearing and losing memories or something. But losing the ability to speak and becoming completely dependent on Yuuichi was irritating rather than endearing.
I hope whoever's arc they do next they do a better job of explaining why he can't be with them so the harem can continue.
But everyone is fun, little sister is hillarious in combination with Sora and only overshadowed by Jibrils crazyness and Stephs... whatever Steph's doing.
Don't worry so much about the little sister in No Game No Life, Jibirl is the saviour.
But everyone is fun, little sister is hillarious in combination with Sora and only overshadowed by Jibrils crazyness and Stephs... whatever Steph's doing.
Good episode, even if it did return to the perverted camera angles and clothing removal schtick. But eh. I can live with it for this show I guess, it's that entertaining. So next episode is the last? Hopefully there's a second season.
Holy yes, what a great game. I'm tempted to say this episode has outdone even Episode 6. It's a close call.
The action is delicious! The Shiro is unstoppable! The Sora is grinning like a madman! The Steph is Stephtastic!
And as for the Jibril, she pulls out an awesome-as-fuck Archer quote, which is actually the second unexpected Fate reference I have come across today. My Fate/stay night playthrough is certainly proving worthwhile xp
It pains me horribly to think that both this and Chaika will be ending in a week. Farewell, awesome Wednesdays ;_;
Everyone who isn't part of the 8 in the opening are bad guys.
Everyone else need either a gigantic slap in the face or need to die in the most painfull way.
I dunno about normal. She play often the role of the straight man, but her overreactions are partly very crazy (like beating her head on a wall until it cracks).
Asuna is a character who's all over the damn place.
Klein is the only character in this show that I can call awesome and deserves more screen-time but barely gets any aside from this episode.
But even considering all that, this episode did have a pretty darn cool fight. But seeing as this was the boss that kept showing up in the OP, I'm gonna have to call false advertising here because Asuna barely fights this boss. Kirito was the one who did all the major damage!
But even so, the music, animation, and overall action during that fight was cool. I liked it.
What I don't like is that they probably will not top what good this episode had given where I am in the show now.
The ending to this episode was so bad and such a cop out that I burst out in laughter with how bad it was.
"
Oh no my fucking shining fist is around your fucking head but I just don't have the energy to close my hand ever so slightly to destroy the head on this fucking Gundam. Fuck....
lol 3 minutes into Black Jack and that escalated quickly. Also this looks like the art style of Astro boy and Metropolis, so probably same guy. You know that one dude who is called one of the founders of anime or something. With a fetish for small half naked boys in banana hammocks.
