Very nice looking! Reminds me a bit of their Eva 1.11 Blu-Ray. I guess Funimation can make good limited sets too when they put the effort in.

Sure, whatever.

I read about the bad animation, but wow this is amazingly terrible. It looks even worse since I just watched Nausicaa. It tries to be stylized but I'm finding it to be off-putting and lacking any charm. Also it's been pretty boring.

The show pretty much murders Netflix subs too. Whenever those giant red letters appear the translated text overrides whatever was previously there and vice versa.

What's funny is that you're talking about the episodes they created before they ran out of time/money.

Whatever. I'm all about that Unicron Sound Track. Probably one of the best, catchiest soundtracks in UC.

Never got this nonsense Sawano hate, tho.

Sawano wouldn't be so hated if he wasn't so disgustingly prolific. Not only does he create pretty bad music (for the most part) but he does it for all your favourite shows!

So if im understanding this right... Shinji and Asuka were inside the Evas and were returned to their human forms after the third impact. And all other life forms have the ability to come back as well if they choose to?

Well, it doesn't really matter where people were located geographically, but essentially, yes.

That's an underwhelming comment for EoE. Usually the comnents are very positive, very negative and usually very wtf. I'm sad.

Yeah I let it sit for a bit, Asuka lived. All is well in the world, thank god they made this movie. I can honestly say I can leave the series behind with a positive look.

Its a shame that 01 didn't really do any battling, it was good to see Asuka kick ass.

Hunter x Hunter (2011) 21-25

So Gon's special power is to let people beat the shit out of him until they get bored and give him his way. I was definitely not looking forward to a protracted rescue arc immediately coming off of a twenty-episode introduction, so I appreciate that it was mercifully brief. Not every character introduced as part of a group of antagonists has to fight; who knew? Unfortunately, it still had an episode whose synopsis could accurately be summarized as "Gon and friends push on a door until it opens."

There's a training arc next, because Luffy really wants to defeat Buggy the Clown.

Can't wait for you to get to Greed Island and then Chimera Ant, lol.

It's all that mattered to me. The last line is the best in the movie too.

Cute little Mihari-focused episode. Also, Yuuki pushing himself to the limit just makes me think of that one early arc in Bakuman.

Ehh it's not really that interesting. The fights don't really benefit from it later on. It feels like it just turns into enhanced punching or a special move. I don't think they've really done anything interesting with it since Yorknew.

Togashi was really interested with the nitty-gritty mechanics of the system around the time of the NewYork arc, but appear to become less interested in them over time.

Another interesting episode, this time tackling words.
The ending with the separated couple being honest in wanting to enjoy each other's hobbies but being unable to live together knowing each other's feelings was pretty strong.

Oh like you wouldn't want an video game or MMO with Hunter X Hunter's kind of class system.

I mean,
Enhancer, Transmuter, Conjurer, Emitter, and Manipulator? (Though I don't know how Specialist could be implemented) Think of the possibilities!

What if he like it?

If he's having trouble with the pacing of the series during the section where the anime is trying to rush through the manga he's going to really be suffer when he reaches the part where the anime is trying to stretch the manga material out.

This show is really one of the best. Every episode is high quality.

Al least you understood it at the first viewing, unlike so many people

Congratulations!

So what are people's opinions on riddle story of devil?
I like it, but the anime doesn't take enough time for their characters. Most of them die before you really know them, even with flashbacks and little scenes. It would be better the anime had 30 minutes per episodes or double the episodes.

Kill la Kill - 10

With more backstory, more action, and more intrigue in this episode, things are getting really interesting, really fast. Take that and add in some classic Mako comic relief, and this was a fun episode. If there's anything else I should note that some people may have a bit of a problem with, it's
Ryuko's new transformations/abilities. Having so many new ones come out of nowhere did kinda feel like an ass pull, but nearing the end of the episode Aikuro notes how much Senketsu is changing too quickly. That leaves me to believe that I'll learn something about that soon enough, so I'll let it slide for now
.

I loved it. Absolutely loved it. If EoE didn't exist my opinion would have been the polar opposite.

My short summary of what happened, btw

Third Impact happened, everyone's mind got fused into one. Every secret, weakness and thought is revealed, but there is also infinite understanding (though limited individuality!). Shinji feels that he finally understands the hearts of others and is understood, which finally make him want to "try again" and interact with other humans in the old fashioned way, where he may be hurt. As the medium of the Third Impact, he can cancel it and so he does it. People with enough individuality, strength of heart and who wishes to be human again will recover their shapes (we see Asuka and Shinji, but we have to imagine the phenomenon happens to a decent % of the human population). Rei, as being part of an angel can't return.
In the shore, Shinji gets his wish and return to human life. Alas, ironically, the decision to return was easy when he was in heaven in communion with everyone else, once he is an individual again, intermediately he feel doubt, fear, loneliness and other "nice" human emotions, that makes him feel frustrated and enraged which is why he strangles Asuka in the mid of his mindfuck. Asuka remind him a bit of part of what they felt inside the Third Impact when they could feel each other, though this time with the simple human touch, which stops him.
The End.

No Game No Life 1-8:

Why am I enjoying this so much? Watching LN adaptions with interesting protags is still an odd feeling for me. Sora is up there with Hachiman and Maou for recent interesting LN adaption leads. The girls are cute too for whatever that is worth (not much nowadays) and the plot is interesting enough. Will keep watching. It's better than that trash Irregular High School at least.

Love Live S2 EP9

Decent episode with a somewhat cliched dilemma. The end song is probably one Muse's best songs which made the episode that much better.

Do anime school girls not understand the concept of pants and boots when there is several inches of snow outside? I don't think I could run around like that in a blizzard.

Love Live! S2 09

An anime's climax and its finale won't necessarily be the same thing. For iM@S, that was "Promise", and I think "Snow halation" holds that role for Love Live. No matter what happens in the finale, this was the emotional and narrative peak of what everyone wanted to accomplish for this season. The way the episodes have been edited, especially this one, the way the music flows in and out between the scene transitions, make it feel like one interconnected piece, in a way many other shows don't. The simple story allowed for maximum character moments, and letting the show wrap itself up with the song was the most effective way to get that done. A great performance with great visuals, a climax that will stand among climaxes for idol anime.

There are episodes that deserve to be skipped, as you'd expect in any series with literally hundreds of episodes. I don't personally know which ones, having only seen it all once, but they certainly exist.
It's not the idea that episodes can be skipped, but the criteria for determining which.
