I dunno, at some point it's probably okay to just admit that it's a pet peeve problem, since that's what it sounds like.
The unnatural nature of the dropping of terms and the themed naming conventions are something Enokido always does. It's his personal writing style and that'll never change. I think that outside of adaptations, he has never ever written anything which isn't overloaded with metaphors and heavy handed thematic overtones. Utena, Melody of Oblivion, Diebuster, Star Driver, Redline. Anything he has a major hand in big and bold with the metaphors and references, often at the expense of more subtle or logical storytelling.
I'm not excusing the flaws or anything, but it's important to recognize where elements of a creative work comes from, and why. For what it's worth, Enokido himself says that his works are not meant to be taken seriously. He wants to write "stupid stuff" because it's fun, and the "stupider" it is the more excited he gets. So there you have it.
