Why is Kotori popular? It's like the dozen time I have seen this character, same statur, character and even hair (in doujinshi).I actually was fond of her. But thats mostly because she doesen't have any edges and everything else in SAO was poopy.

Kotori is an imouto but also
she has powers too and can even stand up to Kurumi

Wow all of these girls suck.

Actually there are several girls in there that are pretty great.

You know, I just realised something. Everyone is all ready to get on the Zankyou no Terror hype train because of the Watanabe and Yoko Kanno combo, but they're not even the right people to staffwhore.

The real reason to be excited about the show is because it features Tanezaki Atsumi in her first major role since she voiced the goddess Natsume in Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun almost two years ago!

SAO 2 MIGHT be enjoyable. At the very least I should hope some things were learned from Accel World being pretty decent. Probably not though.
It still has Asuna in it and thats worrisome.
There isn't much asuna in this. The best you'll see of her is as a commentary type of role.

I have no idea. Kotori is an enigma even if i have to note her passionnate devotion to her brother , it's still nothing special

I can see the relevance of her being a Imouto. But the second is completely irrelevant. She got a bipolar personality, but so does Kurumi. I can enjoy Kurumis sweet creepyness, but Kotori is just irritating. But that's only my opnion.

ktkr!

...Honestly that was pretty nondescript for a final episode, but eh. This little series has been fun.

There are terms like 'panzer' or 'sensha' that are too broad to always bring a exactly proper meaning in every translation into English; 'Panzerkampfwagen' is an all-encompassing genre, while derivations of 'sensha' (like 'hōsensha' and 'taisensha' vehicle are) were used for the definition you are rightfully referring to in here...
I prefer the nomenclature 'self-propelled artillery unit' myself! :)

About the Winter War comment; the series' production team right away commented that it was a purposed error they wanted her to make (like any self-absorbed 'mili-ota' would do once in a while)... although the StuG III was used during the Continuation War, and that could led to interpretations too!

I see, + points to the studio then !

Cruising through town on the Panzer IV was beyond amusing. Show works so well, I think, due to being one that believes in its premise. Lots of extra work done to illustrate how the tank stuff is integrated into culture.

Yeah I'm gonna need to watch this show. For science if nothing else.

Also, I just knew I've seen that "Rommel" girl somewhere earlier.

It was pretty horrible but what else could they have done with no rights to the song?
How did Japan get rights to the song to begin with?
They didn't. And the western licensors didn't try to license it.
It was pure panic.
So Japan just basically used the song and didnt give a fuck?
Yes. No real reason not to really.
So why didnt Sentai just do the same thing?
They feared getting sued.
but Japan didnt get sued
Better safe than sorry they say.
For any Japanese release of products from the Girls und Panzer franchise that featured the song (which includes soundtrack audio CD and home-video DVD & Blu-ray Disc) they properly credited the original lyricist and composer of it, so I suppose that they consequently had the clearance from the governing body JASRAC to publish them containing such song.

JASRAC manages in behalf of the copyright holders the grants for the use of this piece of music on Japanese territory, and of many other compositions from diverse societies it has agreements with (http://www.jasrac.or.jp/ejhp/about/international.html).

After watching Toradora I've felt the need to try and find an anime that matches it emotional draw in the same genre. Does anyone have any suggestions?
"ef ~ a tale of memories" or "Kimi ni Todoke" would come to my mind.
Also Clannad: After Story, but people are going to bite again :(

If we ignore the drama from Golden Time, that's a good bet. But there's a lot of unnecessary drama. Even more than Toradora (same author).

If you want a good romance slice of life, then definitely like somebody suggested above try both Ef: A Tale of [blank] shows. The first season is better than the second but they're both almost stand alone (characters from both seasons appear in all the seasons but it switches focus).

Toradora is easily one of the better romance slice of life stories out there though. Not many in that category unless you're willing to read manga.

The only good one I see is Kuroyukihime. I didn't watch Date a Live so I don't know about those girls. And I hate all of the others.

This is a fair answer.

lmao

I have too much to watch.

Hyouka, Date A Live, Madoka, Fate Stay Night + Fate Zero, Girls und Panzer, Chaika

Excellent choices. Youll have some enjoyable watches.

So does this mean the UK or Australia will get the KAtyusha version?

Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 3

Yep, that's the classic rival magical girl character all right. I might as well just call her loli-Homura.

Clannad and Clannad After Story has that emotional draw. As always I recommend that show. It's my favorite. One of the best in its genre.

Same with Anohana. Anohana has a lull in the middle but the ending I thought had a great payoff.

I'm not sure of that, man, as it would depend on the companies involved on each release and the negotiations that ensued in securing the rights. What I posted earlier only applies to Japanese territory. Sorry...

I knew you'd love it. It really does fully commit to the idea of tank battle as sport, and it knows that with the strength of its cast and premise, it doesn't need to add any extra gimmicks.

If only Ben-to had GuP's clarity of vision...

This is the topic in a certain IRC room that may or may not be affiliated with this thread but is probably just nonsense.

Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 4

Well, after setting her up as a flawless and untouchable genius last episode, the show sure didn't waste any time dragging loli-Homura down off her high horse. Though seeing her struggling just makes her seem more Homura-like, as do the aesthetics of the method she used to overcome her flying issues.

Illya really seems to be getting into the swing of things now, too. Now that she's discovered something she's legitimately good at, she feels completely in her element as a magical girl. The power of imagination (and cuteness) overcomes all!

Also,
omgomgomg it's DARK SABEEEEEEER =D

Kind of surprised you haven't seen that show before. Seemed it fit pretty well with your tastes.

I wanted to watch it soooooo badly when it was airing, but I restrained myself because I wanted to play Fate/stay night first before I started getting into any of the spinoffs.

Now that FSN is behind me, all bets are off! =D
