The face of a man who has lost all of his porn and the will to live

A very strong episode and I enjoyed the second part a lot.

GIF spam is silly casual play. That's not gonna cut it when the time comes, I gotta go all Daigo in this bitch.

*packs jman with Photoshop, filled K-On!(!) review templates, video links that involve sleeping...and a Kit Kat bar*

You are now prepared for war, soldier.

The Light of El Cantare
This is my personal experiment to see if I can actually write Acchi Kocchi impressions without ever directly referencing Tsumiki. Here goes:

Acchi Kocchi 01:

Anyone who's ever played air hockey knows this feeling.

A moe slice-of-life show where the two main characters are a couple from the first episode? No wonder this is bombing in BD preorders!

I have to admit, I didn't dislike this enough to stop watching. It's a rare modern example of a show that is cute without ever attempting to arouse the audience, and it is indeed very, very cute, which is fortunate as it seems to have little else going for it after the first episode. The "characters" can barely be called such, the scenarios don't really succeed at being comedic, and the character art, while clean and streamlined, is generally so simplified that most characters are little more than an assembly of simple shapes, stuck in a proportional limbo between normal and chibi. I like the sleek transitions between scenes, the bright backgrounds and the overall color palette of the series, though, so on the whole I still think that the show doesn't look bad.

Acchi Kocchi never pretends to be more than a cheap vehicle for hnnnnnng, and so I could probably watch it in small doses as a harmless throwaway junk food experience. I'm not anti-cute, however I don't know how long the show can concentrate all of the cute in a single character before it loses its edge. I'll have to see.

I suppose it's up to me to become Kira Yamato and systematically shoot down soldiers on both sides of the K-On - Nyaruko war.

Maturity, bitches.
What's going on, I'm confused and scared. I think I'm going to step outside for a while...

London Anime Gaf is going to recreate a live action version of the K-On movie.

But it won't beat around the bush when it comes to yuri action scenes.

The wish fulfillment for the otaku was undeniably high in this episode. I wonder which episode will be entitled
Penetra
tion.

I also learned that the first verse of the ED is in English. That's incredible as I'm pretty sure I've yet to hear a song that had less discernible lyrics.

Jigen Daisuke: A Guy Named Arsene Lupin III 09:

Jigen can make anything look badass. Anything.

This episode wasn't quite as good as the last, but it was still more traditionally Lupin than the majority of the show. There really should have been something to break up the
episode-long chase scene other than moar owl rape
, but it was fast-paced and once again relied on the combined strength of the main ensemble to create an entertaining scenario.

I'm quickly finding that the series is much more enjoyable when Fujiko is not the center of attention, as the show continues to characterize her in an extremely unsatisfying fashion. The OP has really oversold the depth of the series, and no amount of
convenient childhood trauma
is going to change that. All I can hope for out of the final four episodes is for them to be self-contained stories at least as good as episodes eight and nine, but I don't know how much longer the show can hold out until it goes full-tilt into backstory business.

I'd be surprised if anyone hasn't come to that conclusion at this point, episode 6 was the absolute worst in that regard.

megane Taku. Anyway, makes me want to see it now, have to wait a few or so more hours.

The Tower of Druaga ~the Aegis of Uruk~ 05

Best episode ever.
First we get transforming magic orbs which leads to so much possibilities. Make the anime an 8-bit anime? Check. Transform everyone into opposite genders? Check. Dress everyone up in animal outfits? Sure, why the hell not. So much fun and even then the real treat is a door voiced by Wakamoto which was pure awesomeness. I'll totally go for more really fun episodes like this in between serious episodes now.
More pics of an awesome episode:

LTTP, but this episode is awesome, also Chet would like this episode. ;)

Maybe it's because I find her development okay, as opposed to atrocious in the way that Pierrot's described it. Honestly, though, she was meant to be a framing device from the start. So long as the following episodes provide their own fair share of interesting scenarios that can work together with developing the L.Y.A. case, that'll be darn good enough. TMS really fucked this series over by not giving it enough of a budget and enough time to finish pre-production effectively, and the fact that you can only develop Fujiko so much is an issue too. But then I remind myself that it could be a lot worse, because the whole series so far has been balancing the main arc with the episodic backbone fairly-well.

You know, having my favourite seiyuu getting ntr'd like hell in two seperate shows simultaneously is not cool.

It totally is. Anyone can really watch it too. There's like zero actual story events that happen, and you really don't need to know anything about the other characters to enjoy their punishments.

I must thank you for bringing this episode to my attention. It delivered the entertainment I was hoping for.

I think that someone of us here were temporarily blinded by yuri!

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

...but it would have had to have been actual yuri first...
