After years of avoiding anime, my sister told me today that she wants to drop by and watch some with me like we used to do when I was in high school. She says that after hours of intensive research on Amazon, she decided that she really wants us to watch Fairy Tail together. After unsuccessfully attempting to convince her to watch it on her own, I guess I have no choice but to oblige.

I dunno, she pales in comparison to Happy's ear-splitting agony. That's what made me insta-drop Fairy Tail the first time I tried to watch it.

Its pretty awesome, Ive been on my second rewatch of it from the start. You dont have to worry about arcs that are ruined by terrible pacing issues of the source material like the anime that takes inspiration from Fairy Tail. Just be prepared for the magic circles and happy and a random sound effect "wow". Oh and Snow Fairy is one of the best OP songs.

So, more fun exposition and banter between the two. Did have a laugh with Assassin suddenly popping in, being the world's best gymnastic through laser beam wires and suddenly getting popped.

Somehow reading my favorite fairy tail fanfic put me in the mood for more. Regardless continued with my favorite arc, the Tower of Heaven. I ended up laughing everytime they said
Jellal is Seigrain's brother, the council was so out of touch with things.
. Jellal is such a great antagonist and is just having some good ole fun. Fight upon landing, Lucy in Bikini, Natsu Gray in swimshorts was pretty hilarious and cool, the comments from their opponents.

You know, it's really not that bad if you like One Piece. It's like OP-lite, but with magic. Just has some major asspulls in fights. It's still a fun series.

I enjoyed watching the thing, but I can't help but feel like the actual story was lacking this time around.

Enjoyed this a lot more than the first two episodes as it shifts from the Yuujou wa Shoujo stuff and delves more into the intricacies everypony has instead.

Spike is a pretty neat character essentially the surrogate of the viewers who aren’t the intended demographic, so males in their young 20’s like myself. He claims to want to do nothing as goofy as the Grand Galloping Gala and tries to keep his distance away from the shenangians but really deep down he enjoys it as much as the rest of them :(

This episode is entirely predictable and really doesn’t go for anything crazy but it still works out really well in its execution. The girls all want to be Twilight’s bestest friend ever for a day and they all begin to jockey for that golden ticket but in means that are accurate and enjoyable to themselves.

The Benny Hill (but legally not!) chase scene was quite enjoyable and eventually leads to everypony realizing they’ve been ingrateful pricks to the great goddess Twilight. Twilight, being the greatest pony ever, does the right thing and is thus rewarded for it.

Although Princess Celestia seems to be a bit of a jerk herself, why didn’t she do that from the very start? And why does she like misleading Twilight as has been the case in the first 3 episodes? I don’t like her very much.

A pretty fun episode, pretty much straight from the same one chapter where Megumi is introduced. But, I liked it. It was also nice to see Belldandy actually use some of that goddess power. But, really, where are the other goddesses already?
