First three movies.
Just watch the original movies - the pacing is much better than the television series, and it makes a few minor story changes that are considered canonical in the UC time-line.
For First Gundam, watch the movies, the TV show shows its age and is only really interesting for historical nitpicking.
If you like them, move on to Zeta--the TV show's the better option there, it holds up a lot better. After that, Char's Counterattack.

It really depends on what you mean by "better". They're... different. They're trying to do slightly different things at different times, and yes, the narrative sometimes loses focus, but I wouldn't put one over the other because each uses the strengths of their individual medium in different ways.

Yeah, cajun had it pretty easy if all it took was for him to say that he prefers Utena in English. It's become an incredibly crowded field for shocking opinions since his rookie days here.
I still believe that Ultimadrago can do it if he just puts his mind to it.

Ano Natsu de Cat Planet Cuties Onegai Furry 1-2
I think this will stay on my radar. Funimation just put up the dub of the first two episodes of Cat Planet Cuties and those episodes went by fast. A good chunk happened and the humor has its strengths in the dialogue and its delivery (particularly for the uncle). As for the dub, the two leads are solid as well as the uncle and the supporting cast is hit or miss but I'd say more hit than miss. Interesting that Aaron Dismuke (Al from the original FMA) is the lead character this time.

Mawaru Penguindrum Episode 2
That Survival Strategy happened way earlier than I expected. Overall, I got a few laughs out of the episode but I think I enjoyed Episode 1 a tiny bit more. It was nice to see #1 and #2 get a lot of screentime. But let's get serious here,
they introduce a character who "probably" has the Penguin Drum, who at first seemed like the courageous and mysterious chick that usually shows up in media. But then during the same episode she's introduced, it turns out she stalks Kanba and Shoma's homeroom teacher and is totally creepy?
I can already tell I'm going all the way to the end with this.
Wouldn't that be a larger percentage of this thread?
