Really slacking in the anime department, so going to maybe pick up a few old shows, starting with...
Mawaru Penguindrum Episode 1
I'm, uh... yeah. Not really sure what I watched but I... think I like it? Definitely need to watch a few more episodes to really gather an opinion on it. But what do you know, Shoma and I both hate the word "fate." Props.

DEAR GOD WHY? There are male ponies in this show. Why. This is like when K-On decided itd be a good idea to introduce males in the cast. Utter blasphemy.
Anyway the episode focused on Applejack who I wasnt a huge fan of going into this episode but is bumped up slightly on my waifu list and is tied with Fluttershy now (just to recap, Twilight > Rainbow > Fluttershy = Applejack > Rarity > Pinkie Pie)
The start of the episode was interesting. It shows a dynamic between ponies and another group of animals for the first time within the series. I wonder if the show will go back to that later on, those couple of cows who were up to noo good seem like they are startin trouble in the neigh-borhood.
Pinkie Pie would be a night-mare waifu. So utterly filly, the gal likes to party and party hard. In fact shes done nothing in this series but party. Im not saying there is anything wrong with a party, but she needs to lay off the powdered stuff, and Im not talking about her love for sugar.
Speaking of partying too hard, basically sleep deprivation is dangerous nakama. Applejack has way too much pride but that stubbornness made for the amazing moment of the episode between Applejack and Rainbow Dash. Its been quite some time since I took a physics course but I am positive that see-saw launch makes absolutely no sense. The only way its possible it is possible is if Applejack is a total fatty and has much, much greater mass than Rainbow Dash.
Anyway its time to stop shakin and it's time to get baking! Or not. That was one of the more disgusting concoctions Ive seen in a show before. Applejack could have killed all of Ponyville with that thing. And Usagi! Poor bunnies, AJ is a big sleep deprived meanieAlls well that ends well. AJ should stop being a stubborn pony and swallow some of that pride sometimes. A pretty decent episode but hopefully I never see or hear of this Big McIntosh fella ever again.

I honestly can't tell if this is a Tokyo Underground reference or not. The show makes a lot of references to stuff, but this one might be too subtle to actually be one.

whether you'll like it or not depends entirely upon how much you can stomach flash animation. i'd just check out the yurumate 3dei short first and see if that piques your interest.

It may be true that Oda stole dragons from Fairy Tail, but within the first two episodes of FT it looks like Mashima stole Iceberg's design wholesale for Macau. Turnabout's fair play, I guess.
I already know that she does. She loves DBZ, Bleach, and Soul Eater, and she's expressed interest in watching Toriko. If she ends up liking Fairy Tail, she might just be more shounenbro than me.
I'm not a huge fan of Celtic rock, but maybe it'll grow on me.

I would totally have my sister watch Oreimo with me if I didn't think it would irrevocably destroy our relationship, but even if I could, the anime subculture metahumor that comprises 90% of the show (and far exceeds the amount of incestuous content) would probably make it incomprehensible to her anyway.
I don't think that she would take kindly to Precure. She found a Sailor Moon manga sitting on a desk a while back and gave me the coldest look.

After two episodes of the anime, I feel like I'm going to like the comic relief more than the battles. Everything feels pretty low-budget. I read the manga through the conclusion of the
arc a long while ago, and I think it's entirely possible that I'll prefer the anime to the manga if I actually get to watch a fair number of episodes.
Remember, Drago: if you're frightened about jinxing your run toward full membership, the one way to get out of junior member status early is to do something so outrageous that it gets you tagged. Give it your best shot!

It's hard to disappoint me since I have a wide variety of tastes and I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode, so if you say it gets better... I'm on board.
There weren't many characters introduced, but he certainly seemed to be the one with the most personality and pizazz.
I'm prepared for the worst but judging from the praise it got and all of these replies, I should probably prepare for the best.

To be fair, I think we'd all rather the fabulousness over the slime. But both are exhilarating!
