It's the Gintama way. Their original material is usually quite good, but it tends to be meta-humor and there's only so long you can extend that. I respect them for realizing that.

Getting new recruits periodically is a good thing, and the prevailing belief seems to be that new members never visit Community.

It'd probably in practice end up like the ponies; an in-season thread in OT and a community thread in Community, with current season talk strictly regulated to the OT. Probably weird to enforce though.

I like my anime threads and wacky GAF topics to be on the same forum. No interest in sports GAF at all.

I post in NFL thread and that has moved so it aint a big deal.
It really is just a case of visibility to new members. As long as it doesn't stagnate then its fine. I think that's what people fear.

Click Thread Tools > Subscribe to Thread. It's beneath the page count at the top.
There's also an option in the User CP under Edit Options that lets you automatically sub to any thread you reply in.

Best thing to do is to set the forum up to subscribe you to every thread you post in.

Go to your User CP
Click on Options
Find Default Thread Subscription Mode and set it to "No email notification"
Now just access threads you frequent by clicking the Subscriptions button. To be super pro click the Neogaf icon to pull yourself to the most recent unread post.

Why wouldn't you check your subscribed threads? Those are like the only important ones.
