OSX (Lion) was lagging way behind Windows with the 10bit, last time I was on it. It would run, but be an artifact-ed mess; really slow, and that was with all of the players. the many Mplayers, VlC, etc.. Videos that run on the same exact machine, but on Windows with ease.
So sad that this gets a second season yet Chihayafuru is probably not ;_;

Nanami has been very good to me. not gonna upgrade unless I get a totally new computer.
I think we're nice enough not to recommend stuff like Eiken or Midori unless someone is actually asking for the worst shows we can find.
Midori Days is actually not a bad show. I hope people don't confuse the two.

It was nice getting to see the red-head's backstory. Really love the presentation still. I wish there was an entire movie done in that format.

Sayaka got a little crazy near that end... I'm scared to see if she's alive or not next episode.

Personally I like a LOT of different shows, some of which most of these guys find awful.
Stuff from Deen and Bee Train for example.
Not saying it's the pinnacle or anything, but people were comparing it to torture.

I'm surprised you haven't watched anime in like 6 years if you liked that. It's basically along the lines of what we've been getting.
To be fair, Midori IS torture. The important thing to note is that Midori =/= Midori No Hibi.

Well, I think several studios have released anime adapatations of Key games. Kyoto Animation and PA Works for example.
Kyoto did most of them so check the wiki/
Also aside from Kanon 2002 I just realized I own everything adapted from Key.

To be honest I was kind of embarrassed by it. Dorm room with an open door policy, freshman in college, insecure, football buddies that ripped me down for it, etc. I realized it was stupid the next year and didn't care, but I just never got back into it.
Figured I've missed a few good shows over the past few years, so why not dive back in? Unfortunately I dove into the shallow end.

Best episode of the season yet. Still not as good as S2 E3, but a thoroughly enjoyable bundle of random silliness all the same. Gross incompetence never gets old. Also Castle in the Sky.

If you like light wholesome fun, I suggest Usagi Drop or even K-On.
Stick around AnimeGaf and you'll get an idea which are the jokes and which are legit recommendations. We get alot of different characters here from the snooty monocles to the we love everything moustaches. Something for everybody!
