Actually pretty cool episode, Akune is a great character, second favorite already after Zenkichi. Im hoping he stays in the plot at least.

I really don't see how this episode made you say that. Were you paying attention? Granted, a central theme of the show is the deconstruction of fairy tale archetypes, but Juri... isn't enthralled by men at all.
Not everything is as it seems in this show, especially with the first 12 episodes.

While Juri is still incredibly jealous and sore over how her friend took the guy she loved, I was basically riffing on some of the ANNcast-related commentary about throwing ridiculous claims out there.

Watching Code Geass with fujoshi goggles on is very amusing. But they haven't served me well in most of the other stuff I watch.

Apollon, Tsuritama, and Sankarea all hit in a few hours, so things should pick up soon enough.
I can see this approach detracting from the fun of Shining Hearts, but otherwise it's a good idea in the absence of any specific reason not to do it.
