Those are very light. Only 2 arcs make use of them and in the last one , it was more of a goal rather than a mean.
In s2 there was a light plot thread about adventurers pooling money to the Round Table to help fund the various other adventurers who had fallen to the bottom of the Akihabara social circle but peeps were resistant. It was more socialism than taxation anyway and got overriden by rather more dramatic events anyway.

I wasn't sure if Aroma was an idol like Ranko or Yurika - a kind girl deep down who's hiding behind a "cool" persona. If there's going to be any of that, it ain't happening yet. Not only is Aroma fully convinced of her devil persona (if it is a persona), Mikan isn't there to counteract her. She's her servant, all working together to create a unit named Aromageddon. I don't think this is part of Shinto theology, much less Christian theology.
For one thing, the singers we believe to be apocalyptic at least have the decency to backmask their messages. Why go to all the hard work of playing the bad guy role if you're not going to be subtle and cool about it?
The whole thing's giving me Shugo Chara vibes, similar to the way Il and El were parts of Fate- er, Utau's persona. Meganee doesn't seem to be objecting to them, so going by their name and stated purpose, I'm going to assume that, having already created life in last season's finale, they're here to overthrow the old gods, that being Meganee.
Because a fickle god is she. The managers have to be there in order to make a unit official according to the ritual, and Aroma was using her own manager Cat to scheme them. Both antagonistic mascots - Cat and Unicorn - have been portrayed as girls, but while Unicorn was more of a tsundere who witheld information from her charge out of concern, as of right now, the Cat is more of a G-rated seductress, and also Bear and Rabbit are super superstitious. This is why Aroma's recruitment plan probably won't work on Lala. She doesn't speak chuuni.
The way they vanished into the light, I'm not sure if they really are a devil and angel or if it was just smoke and mirrors. They do have ordinary Japanese names, but as far as I can tell, they neither go to Lala's school (now one of the best in the country for PriPara students, I speculate) nor have had their lives outside the city-state shown. But they did just debut.
The concept of a devil controlling an angel... I never thought I'd be able to say that PriPara and High School DxD have something in common. The pieces are still being put into place, and the opening does hint at at least two more idols joining mid-season. It would allow for two teams of five, but the question is the team arrangement. Solami Smile and Dressing Pafe aren't breaking up, and Mikan and Aroma come as a duo.
Joke about Aroma also being a small bird. I liked their song for the dueling musical styles. Aikatsu has nicer characters, PriPara has better songs. Rin and Madoka are more fun to ship, but Aroma and Mikan are having a more interesting effect on the plot. I want to see both of them have a dance battle.

Sucks for the guy but I won't lose too many tears over not getting more Log Horizon. He thought I cared about all of these other characters. But I didn't. All I cared about was Shiroe.
