I quite like that Nozaki-Kun isn't a romance. I find the total romantic blunders and satire of common shojo tropes really refreshing and hilarious.

Nozaki-kun does what it does extremely well, I see no reason to desire anything else from it. Dedicating time to legit serious romance would make it worse.

Indeed, it does what it actually sets out to do rather well, well, for the most part anyway.

Several sections were literally slideshows, but I guess the animation was there when it counts.

Definitely enjoying the story and characters though.

All those heathens who don't recognise the glory of D-Frag. The full might of Moe Moe Attack will be unleashed upon you.

Lets not kid ourselves, Barakamon was the best.

This guy gets it. It was the best kind of comedy, plus it was consistent. Though D-Frag comes close second for me.

Barakamon was incredibly forgettable. Solid, but a show you finish and never think about again for me.

What?😑 It was the most memorable especially considering how much shitty shows we got last year. It made me laugh, feel good inside, and it was heartwarming in one whole package. Everything was consistently great. The best part about it was everyone actually felt real and not just empty characters without any personality. Plus Ono Daisuke is a based voice actor.

It also helps that the children in the show were voiced by actual children and not by some adult mimicking a kids voice.

So, I went through the first season in one day and I really liked it. The story, although a little bit slow paced at some points, is enjoyable, and I find Hachiman quite interesting. He is really unorthodox in his way of doing things, which I don't consider bad nor good, it's just "A" way of getting stuff done. I can actually sympathize with him at some points given his background, but I hope for some more character development in season 2. All in all it's good and I'm yet to start the on going season.

But aside from that I wanted to ask you something. After searching some info on the anime I found out it's an adaptation from a light novel, which releases it's elevent volume on June this year, and the anime is currently around volume 9, so it got me thinking. Is it possible that the story will finish with both this volume and this season? The final episode of season 2 (assuming it's the 12) should air around the volume 11 release, so it might be possible, just like Toradora endend around the time it's final volume released. What do you guys think? Is there any information about this around the internet? I googled but couldn't find anything, and it might just be crazy speculation, but it does sound logic, at least to me. Anyways, Hachiman pic:

What does Nozaki-kun really do? It doesn't go far enough to dissect the genre it attempts to parody, it doesn't feel particularly introspective or self-contained, and as a result it kind of just fails to stand on its own. It's a one note comedy that lacks bite with underwhelming production. It attempts to manipulate elements of a specific genre, but it wades into the same pool without having the self-awareness it needs in order to float. I don't actively dislike the show, but the amount of attention lavished on something so unambitious and heartless is just painful after a certain point. Stacked against other comedy anime from the last five years the idea that Nozaki-kun is of merit or note is really difficult to swallow.

It seems the series is gonna end at Vol 11 or 12 I believe, but I don't know if the anime will finish it altogether unless they finish the rest through OVAs or something.

The chances of Feel adapting Volume 11 this season is close to zero.

The best odds are in favor of Yahari S2 ending with Volume 10.

And then if we're lucky we get another OVA adaption based on 10.5

I really like it, and am also a big fan of the manga. What Nozaki-kun does is be actively funny, which is more then enough merit towards it part for me. Comedy can be subjective (although I think saying such is a pretty weak defense) but I like Nozaki-kun as much as like Nichibros or Cromartie High School.

Being a really funny comedy with likable characters, hilarious expressions, fun situations...

I don't remember any episode that I didn't laugh, and I have fond memories of scenarios like the one with the date sim, or Seo shenanigans. So I guess it works for me.

What does Nozaki-kun do? I smiled in every second of every episode and looked forward to the new one each week. That's enough for me.

Yama no Susume s2 22

Legit teared up a little when they fulfilled their promise. The music and the way it was shot was damn effective.

Like the Ufotable UBW is anything to brag about either. But I assume it does win the "less shit" contest.

Agreed.

Fate/UBW 1-17

Finally caught up.

It has been a very long time since I played the original VN, but I really don't remember Shirou being this fucking annoying. Its like they've taking every bad shounen cliche and forced it on the dude. A lot of character development Shirou gets is being lost because of the lack of inner dialogue from the VN and a lot of little changes here and there. I can't remember too much, but I remember Shirou being a lot smarter and a little bit cocky-almost like a mini-Archer. I think a lot of the problem with this show stems from both missing and/or changed dialogue from the VN and the fact that UBW relies heavily upon prior knowledge of the Saber route. It's really altering the way some of the characters like Tohsaka and Shirou come off.

If you ignore the Fate/Stay Night part of the show and just look at it as generic shounen action then it works and its "ok". However as an entry in the Fate series this shit sucks.

I may catch shit for this but I believe, as far as Fate/Stay night is concerned, that the DEEN adaptation is a better "Fate/SN show" simply because there was more inner dialogue going on and better characterization. DEEN Shirou wasn't as fucking annoying till like midway through. The UBW-TV series however is a better action show/animation porn which makes it more watchable. In my opinion though it fails as an entry in the franchise if that makes any sense. Both are a shit sandwich though in comparison to what little I remember of the VN make no mistake.

I think a remake of the VN came out a couple of years back for hand helds didn't it? I'm getting the itch to play it again and binge out in the Naruverse.

I still think they should have done Heavens Feel and not saved it for a movie adaptation :/

So, this means the series will actually have a true ending this season. That's actually really good to hear.

Underwhelming production? I felt like it upheld a pretty high level throughout the show. That goes for visuals as well as overall quality.

I can see Feel adapting Volume 10 this season if they blitzkrieg through Volume 9 in 4 episodes. However, there are a lot of events in chapter 9 to be animated that I assume are important to the overall plot. I'd be sad if they skip over those events. I'm very excited on the possibility of an OVA based on 10.5 though, especially that volume's chapter 2. :D

Based on what I've read, it is highly likely that the series is going to end at Volume 12. I hope we have a S3 next spring or some kind of mini-movie on the way if they ever plan to animate the rest of the volumes.

It's repetitive and static, but the characters are fairly distinct. It changes up the gender dynamics in a neat way, and it's ultimately just a fun experience. It's definitely not among my favorite comedy anime, but I can see why people adore it.

Yugioh Arc V episode 54

So the sychro dimension actually is some alternate version of neo domino city from 5ds, seeing as how the events and setting have very noticable changes. Jack is still showing up later, and was mentioned this episode, so I'm wondering if this is going to be explained, or it's just an alternate version for fanservice

He's talking about the light novels.

If we want to see the true ending to the series, it's not going to happen this season nor anytime in the foreseeable future.

That one and chapter 1 need to be adapted.

Actually you did pretty much everything wrong but whatever we all make mistakes

So I kinda liked this episode in a few ways. I always thought L-Elf was a decent character and Haruto was pretty shitty at times, but had moments.

The problem is Shoko is a fucking moron and I hate her. Almost as much as I hate Nina. Thunder was right, what's the point of telling their entire super strong defense and offense to leave?

Oh, my bad, I thought he meant the LN and the anime series were running simultaneously and would finish at the same point.

Yama no Susume s2 24 -END-

And that's a wrap!

Yama no Susume is the show I first subbed to crunchy for (seriously it was ridiculous getting 3 minute long ads for a 4 minute long show) and it really is one of my favourite healing anime around. It's about a fairly simple concept but it's so genuine and likable and beautifully drawn and animated that it just feels good to watch. The pacing is just right, especially once they get to s2; every seven minute episode 'felt', to me, like a fully-fledged 22-minute ep. Every once in a while it falls into infodump territory where someone just really wanted to talk about mountains or hiking gear or whatever for about half a minute straight but it's so inoffensively enthusiastic about it you can't help but listen.

I don't know if there'll be an s3 (gotta get back to Fuji!) but I might end up rewatching s1 without subtitles, since the Japanese seems just a little above my level.

Triage-X ep.4
I watched this one earlier and it's still a very confusing show. So there are two doctors that do the same work or reconstruction,
well, back to 1 now
and a separate assassin group?
One kills for revenge and the other for justice?
This show needed more of the crazy idol chick and more hot meat injections. Don't get me wrong, it is a watchable show, it's just very confusing with little character identity.
