I can't fault a show for not doing something it was never made to do, I guess
It is a weakness still as a better show would have balanced the two sides.

Some people look for the romantic side of things. Nozaki-Kun is terrible in that regard by design.
They are looking for something that never existed in the first place. That's like hating GTO because you wanted it to be physiological thriller, it was meant nor going to be that.
I quite like that Nozaki-Kun isn't a romance. I find the total romantic blunders and satire of common shojo tropes really refreshing and hilarious.
Story seems to be based on the first game, and that was really nothing to write home about (though I did like some of the characters). I'll probably watch it for the ufotable.
Nozaki-kun does what it does extremely well, I see no reason to desire anything else from it. Dedicating time to legit serious romance would make it worse.
Sabagebu! was the best comedy of last year.

Agreed. Its a comedy first and foremost. Any romance in it would be lighthearted at best.
This is one reason why the ending sucked the big meat missile.
I don't really class Barakamon as a comedy though. It's more a light hearted drama. It's like Space Brothers where it has humorous moments but it's not the main focus.Lets not kid ourselves, Barakamon was the best.

Barakamon was incredibly forgettable. Solid, but a show you finish and never think about again for me.
What does Nozaki-kun really do? It doesn't go far enough to dissect the genre it attempts to parody, it doesn't feel particularly introspective or self-contained, and as a result it kind of just fails to stand on its own. It's a one note comedy that lacks bite with underwhelming production. It attempts to manipulate elements of a specific genre, but it wades into the same pool without having the self-awareness it needs in order to float. I don't actively dislike the show, but the amount of attention lavished on something so unambitious and heartless is just painful after a certain point. Stacked against other comedy anime from the last five years the idea that Nozaki-kun is of merit or note is really difficult to swallow.Nozaki-kun does what it does extremely well, I see no reason to desire anything else from it. So, I went through the first season in one day and I really liked it. The story, although a little bit slow paced at some points, is enjoyable, and I find Hachiman quite interesting. He is really unorthodox in his way of doing things, which I don't consider bad nor good, it's just "A" way of getting stuff done. I can actually sympathize with him at some points given his background, but I hope for some more character development in season 2. All in all it's good and I'm yet to start the on going season.
But aside from that I wanted to ask you something. After searching some info on the anime I found out it's an adaptation from a light novel, which releases it's elevent volume on June this year, and the anime is currently around volume 9, so it got me thinking. Is it possible that the story will finish with both this volume and this season? The final episode of season 2 (assuming it's the 12) should air around the volume 11 release, so it might be possible, just like Toradora endend around the time it's final volume released. What do you guys think? Is there any information about this around the internet? I googled but couldn't find anything, and it might just be crazy speculation, but it does sound logic, at least to me. Anyways, Hachiman pic:

Like the Ufotable UBW is anything to brag about either. But I assume it does win the "less shit" contest.
It seems the series is gonna end at Vol 11 or 12 I believe, but I don't know if the anime will finish it altogether unless they finish the rest through OVAs or something.

The chances of Feel adapting Volume 11 this season is close to zero.
The best odds are in favor of Yahari S2 ending with Volume 10.
And then if we're lucky we get another OVA adaption based on 10.5

So, this means the series will actually have a true ending this season. That's actually really good to hear.
I can see Feel adapting Volume 10 this season if they blitzkrieg through Volume 9 in 4 episodes. However, there are a lot of events in chapter 9 to be animated that I assume are important to the overall plot. I'd be sad if they skip over those events. I'm very excited on the possibility of an OVA based on 10.5 though, especially that volume's chapter 2.
Actually you did pretty much everything wrong but whatever we all make mistakes
He's talking about the light novels.
If we want to see the true ending to the series, it's not going to happen this season nor anytime in the foreseeable future.
Here's Jojo's Cast
Here's Kancolle's Cast
Here's Psycho Pass's Cast
So it seems Kekkai Sensen's Ending is quite popular among people.
