Really? Haven't got round to season 2 yet but i just figured it was some crazy late in the manga spoiler(it was like chapter 230 or something).

sorry I figured you were caught up :p

but yeah I think so.
to be fair the manga isn't that far translated beyond the anime series (it's way behind the japanese version)

230 would be beyond the season 2 anime I think, but events happen well before that.

Dub;Gate was really enjoyable to watch. That and the whole sci-fi aspect of
time travel and whatever Okabe is rambling about, lol

Please continue I take great pleasure in seeing you worm its way through it.

And you haven't even gotten to the bad parts !

I don't believe you. I sat through all of 0079, Zeta, ZZ and CCA and Relena is making me reconsider how bad the characters in that really were.

Oh man...
IIRC Relena and Heero, LMAO, although to be fair, she can't be worse than that princess in 00, right? I have never seen 00 by the way.

"This is totally meaningless."
"This is NOT meaningless!"

Those old OG Toonami promos though...

It's interesting to have a fight scene is a slice of life show. Some solid effects during the regular fights and the last magical girls attack was pretty cool

Gundam Build Fighters 10

Aila is an excellent character. She helps make up for the return of Kirara, who is still awful.

Watching this after Tanaka-kun and Gungrave makes it all the more clear how mediocre the overall art is. I recall One Punch Man got a lot of flak for its art direction, and this isn't any better. Fortunately, the mecha action is the centerpiece of this show, and that's consistently well animated.

You know, it's really sketchy that PPSE puts their own team of fighters in the World Championship when they're also the manufacturing company and sponsor of the championship. That clearly gives them an unfair advantage.

Aila is great, which is weird because she's supposed to be a Cyber-Newtype stand in, and those are all terrible. Once again proving GBF is actually the best Gundam show.

I don't think anybody was expecting great things artwise from Gundam Build Fighters given the type of series it is. That being said, that was another thing that took a hit during Tri.

Cabinetmaker of the Iron Fortress 07
A calmer episode. Ikoma formulates his desire to defeat the cabinets on something a little better than "I must become stronger!"

Mumei returns to twintails. Kurusu is easily embarrassed. Blonde dude is a dick.

Ani-sama is super bish

I never got how some people saw Ruka as some weird fetish character. Dude always seemed more of an exploration of
gender dysphoria
and that shit ain't sexy.

Well, the condition ain't at least.

Steins Gate 3

Oh now that was a pretty interesting episode with
the banana going back in time.

The time travel concept is becoming quite interesting in the anime. Also Mayuri and Kurisu are great especially the former with her tootooru.

Man Okabe is really of the rail paranoid.

Kabaneri of he Iron Fortress 7

The music actually carried me through a lot of this. It was really up-beat and cheery, it was a nice change of pace. Its nice to see a bit of levity even if the character stuff was whatever. I guess we have the Survey Corps now too. Blonde dude is Jean.
Oh my, Mumei's bro is so bishie.

Hell yeah!!!!! Weird how MAL has Enride listed as a continual 25 ep., but not ReZero...

douches....

Nijiiro Days ep. 5-7

Now that you've seen them all, GO! who's best couple?

A casino test sounds fun. Ren continues to be OP for the show. Though not as much as Black Knight Teacher. Botan was surprisingly good as a Priest. That was certainly one heck of a boss fight.

Netoge 8

Well, at least Ako didn't act stupid in regards to the whole ordeal. At least everyone else kept a level head, though this plan seems far more convoluted than it should be in response to a hacker. And why didn't Nishimura push the boyfriend/girlfriend angle when he had the chance?

Hold on, I'm confused. Which one of these was focused on an MMO again?

Aila is great and you're not even close to the episode where she becomes amazing.

Steins Gate 4

So Okabe is trying to go against a company called Stern which John Titor warned him about. Hmm this is becoming a bit more interesting.

I'm curious to see where Okabe's paranoia stems from.

Seeing someone talk about Yuki Yuna a couple of pages back, and I see it available on UK Netflix.

Is it any good? For reference, the only real title I've watched in the whole magical genre is Madoka Magica - if that can be even used as an example.

Indeed but the expectation is so much less or rather the exception then the rule. I am curious to what you would consider kids series with good art.

Anne of Green Gables
Crayon Shin-chan
Heidi, Girl of the Alps
Heartcatch Precure
Kaiketsu Zorori
Marco: 3000 Leagues in Search of Mother
Medabots
Ojamajo Doremi
etc...

No long-running show is going to have consistently strong art, of course, but the above have generally good quality art with plenty of highlights.

Kabaneri 7

This is the equivalent of an American Zombie show stopping everything to remind you "hey we're set in America" and have the crew celebrate 4th of July while they cook zombie BBQ and play football.

Like we get it, it's an anime, come on.

Girls und Panzer: Der Film
This was really really fun. More than worth the wait. It is basically about 90 minutes of tank battles with 20 minutes of plot to facilitate them. It was pretty much everything one could have possibly wanted out of a Girls und Panzer movie and they deliver on both the new characters and in giving most familiar characters ample screentime to shine. Parts of it are outright hilarious as well.

Really liked the new score as well. Some familiar tracks and some new ones, some more re-arranged hymns are also presented for the new teams. If there is one theme this movie likes to play it's familiarity. It doesn't reboot the franchise instead it gives fans of the series exactly what they wanted in which case one would say it's a fanservice film. But it manages to do enough to be worthwhile. Perhaps if you aren't a fan of GuP (what is wrong with you) this is a skip. But if you are WATCH THIS FILM.

The only bad thing about this movie is that it ended. :(

I'm probably not the best person to talk about it, since I really don't like it (no joke, I was swearing up a storm during some of the later episodes). It tries a lot to be dark and edgy like madoka, without quite getting why madoka works (though its not as bad as WIXOSS in this regard). There are some interesting twists, turns and character developments, but there is also terribad exposition in the early episodes, odd retconning later, less than stellar writing and I could probably go on. Also, Yuki Yuna is the Vann (ff12) of Yuki Yuna is a hero. She is pointless and the show (and its message/ morals) would have been significantly better if she just straight up didn't exist.

I say watch it, its definitely the kind of show that different people get different things out of it. Take my word as simply someone who has a negative opinion of the show. Watch it and gather an opinion yourself.

It was actually the post where you said you didn't like it that triggered the memory. :p

Maybe it was an intended reference too alongside the Rambo and G.I. Joe stuff? A Scooby-doo-like character design for an American who's afraid of supernatural creatures. Although I guess looking like Shaggy would have been more fitting.
Hmm you maybe right, that's a good way to look at it.

Are we sure Definitely not Attack on Titan is a one cour show? At the pace its going, it seems like it'll need another to wrap things up, unless things escalate like mad in the next few episodes.

Pretty good low-key episode. That scene in the shop wasn't really necessary - Ikoma kind of needlessly antagonized the guy, but aside from that, it was solid.

EDIT: Also, I kind of wish this show wasn't set in Japan. I like the japanese style they have, but they should have made it its own fantasy world. Same with AoT, for that matter. Knowing that its our world in some alternate future kind of takes me out of it.

This guy is still alive?

Really?

I love that guy!

But yeah, he's gonna die. =)
