Yeah, I kind of wanted to play through the "story" first, but this seems like a better option. The restrictions on Deadly Descents are pointless attempts at adding something to the game beyond just snowboarding, which is really what it should just be.

Felt the same way. It just was not fun. Scroll back 20 pages or whatever and see me totally stymied by Moby's first Trick It run.

Explore is way more tailored to your own pace. With that, something's troubling you, another peak is just over there. World Tour mode, if you were stuck, you had so many fewer options. The Skip function was helpful, but that's not fun.

SSX was the best-selling game in the UK last week! There are a lot of factors that affected this, namely GAME not stocking certain titles because of their financial situation, but still. Great news. Hopefully the sales can maintain a little bit of momentum into this week, even with Mass Effect 3, because that might mean good things in terms of a sequel.

Isn't that 50K just for one single global event? Who's to say everyone who bought a copy of the game did that run? I bet a lot of people are still struggling through World Tour.

I think so too, honestly. The fact that the Servers were a dog all weekend is a promising sign.

I enjoyed them all except for the pulse goggles DD. I was going in expecting to hate most of them because of most people's reactions, but I was surprised to find out that they really weren't that bad. Nice to be done with it though.

Are you able to at least keep up with the trail of the ghost in front of you? That's the best method I can think of for learning new lines. Also, sometimes the wingsuit helps in situations where you'd normally not consider using it. In fact, it's helped me improve some of my times since you get massive speed while nosediving.

Equip the wingsuit and you can simply fly over the entire middle portion of the track. Easy win.

Finished up the World Tour mode last night. The Whiteout DD on Aoraki was by far the hardest, cheapest and most annoying event in the whole thing. The final challenge was easy by comparison.

I've barely touched Explore mode, so I can't wait to really get into the meat of the game.

Weird, I made it down to the button without the pulse goggles on my first try for the achievement.

I still cannot do the damn Antarctica DD without the solar panel though. Anybody got any tips for that one?

I wouldn't get the 1m credit snowflake with a level 8 character, since the snowflake will take pretty much any level 1 character you use straight to level 9. Use it on a low level character that you'd like to see pumped straight up to the top.

bakalhau found someone with that time when his time got wrecked. Turns out the dude cut all the way right on the flat, barren side slopes. It's not really legit. baka made a video of it and reported it to the team already.

Yup, that's what this guy is using. I don't see how it's not legit. I mean, if you think that's not legit than a lot of the things I do on Patagonia aren't legit. It's just kind of lame because there's a lot less technical work on this line but it's faster.
