Just buy it at $40 to support all of us who desperately love star fox and hope nintendo continues the series <3nincompoop said:Is any place going to have this on sale next week? It looks really good and I'm kind of desperate for some actual 3D content worth playing for my 3DS, but I've never really been into the Star Fox games (or space shooters in general) so I don't really feel like spending $40 on it. $30 and I'd bite instantly.

Not really. There's 2 warp zones in the game, but nothing as crazy as in SNES Star Fox.Teknoman said:I think there is. Something about asteroid rings.

But yeah, you can beat the game in an hour...
Willy105 said:I just remembered whenthe screen goes white after you defeat the true Andross for like a 10 seconds, making you think you're dead or the game crashed, and then suddenly JAMES McCLOUD comes out of nowhere and says "Don't ever give up, my son." Suddenly, you are flying through the exploding caves of the planet with your father leading you to the surface.
That was, and still is, my favorite climax in a game I have ever played ever.

WTF, I quoted your avatar and got this instead...
There's an option for something like that in the menu.jokkir said:Does this game allow you to erase all saved data? Can't check right now, I'm in the middle of playing >__>.
I want to know because I might want to restart getting all the medals again.

You could do that in the N64 version. I found that out this year. I've been playing the game since it game out almost religiously. Yeah...Tathanen said:Got a message from Peppy in the game after beating it for the fourth time that said you can do an unlocked charge shot by holding L+R while you charge. I've always done those shots by just letting them out really fast, before the lock appears, but a cursory glance at the internet seems to imply this L+R thing is new? I see no reference to it anywhere at least. When I tried it it worked as advertised, charging a blast while holding L+R made the lock-on never happen as long as I held them.
THIS right here is how I'll be able to actually attempt some of those gold medals in score attack. Whole new ballgame folks. Wonder if it only works in 3DS Mode though, since N64 Mode claims to reproduce faithfully the N64 original, and I haven't been able to really figure out what that would entail beyond "can't use gyro." If so, guess I'll never be getting THOSE medals.
Now where was that "Complaining about games I've never played on message boards" Paper Mario pic again...The perfect Dark said:I played every Starfox except the N64 version. I know simply everything about this game 'cause i read many reviews and previews ;9
