You're a big meanie.
I tire of their childish, family friendly antics.
I hope Thrawn massacres them all and keeps the burnt out husk of their interminable, comic relief droid as a trophy.
Not gonna happen.

Did Temuera Morrison ever play Rex in the films? If not, it's really neat he's aware of the character.
Give him time.
Yeah, Rex has only been played live on screen by an unnamed stunt actor, in 1983.
Hera makes it all the way to at least Return of the Jedi. She's in the Freemakers Lego show, which isn't technically canon, but exists within the universe of Star Wars as it was between Empire and RotJ. So they can't kill off anyone or use anyone who was dead at the time (Han never appears in the show, for example).
While I quite enjoy the show, a fitting end would be Thrawn lashing their dead bodies to the prow of his flagship.
I would laugh.
The username checks out.

That new Battlefront trailer...
This is my favorite thing and they need to officially make this canon. It's one of those things that's really fun, and it's not like they're doing anything with the random old man rebel who they brought on a serious strike mission for some reason. It actually makes it make a bit more sense.
Yeah, it looks great. The lack of Obi-Wan, Anakin and Mustafar as a playable level bums me out, though.
Plus, there's a story to be told there... when the rebels first get there, he's wearing rebel gear like everyone else:
But later, when Han Leia and the whole team get arrested (when Chewie shows up in the AT-ST), Rex is wearing scout trooper gear, albeit with a few missing pieces... Did he steal the outfit during the battle somehow or what?
After Chewie springs them, he resumes helping the rest of the squad, still in his stolen gear:
So SOMETHING clearly happened... he clubbed a scout trooper and stole his gear, did something, and then apparently got busted. We need the Endor ground assault retold from Rex's point of view at some point, whether it's live action, cartoon, comic or whatever!
Hera's also explicitly mentioned in Rogue One. No need to rely on the questionable canon of a Lego project.
She's definitely fine (along with Rex, given Filoni's repeated enthusiasm for the ROTJ theory), which is more than okay with me. It's the rest of those fools I want rid of, especially Ashoka, Kanan and Ezra, who are apparently running around cutting down stormtroopers with their lightsabers like there's no tomorrow, when Luke is supposed to be viewed as the Jedi's last hope.

The latest trailer certainly seems to be hinting that there is going to be an exit point of sorts for the jedi characters.
Ahsoka is dead, Kanan will definitely die, and that leaves Ezra. He's the only one to be concerned about.

I need those shirts.
If the next show isn't about Ahsoka I will be amazed.
Here's a general rule for television marketing:
The more the trailers for a show try to convince you a certain character is going to die, the less likely it is that it's actually going to happen in the show itself.
That rule has never failed me. Ever.
Ashoka is definitely not dead.
I'll take another big-budget animated show like Clone Wars if they want, but there's no reason why they couldn't do live action. There are so many shows you can point to these days that demonstrates how well high-concept material can do on TV... from Game of Thrones, Star Trek, to Marvel and DC's live action stuff.I really wish they'd do a damn live action SW series for a change.. Tried getting into rebels and clone and just couldn't do it

The next show is practically guaranteed to be post-RotJ. The question is if it's between 6 and 7 or 8 and 9.
”When I read it I needed to talk to him, and I think that's always a good sign. I was like, ‘Wow there's some stuff there which is kind of—not scary but different to what I expected,' and that's a really, really nice thing. I think that's a really positive thing, I think that's important for those films that we don't repeat ourselves. So I just wanted to talk to him, and when I talked to him he was so clear and so confident, not in a brash way but he knew the film he wanted to make, and it was a really lovely thing. Just [to] sit down with a filmmaker you really enjoy... but to see him, just the confidence of it and his excitement about what it could be and everything, it was really pleasing to see. Very calming. And I got really excited about being in it, and it was a really very, very cool experience working with him. I would love to work with him again, I really enjoyed it."

More Rian Johnson goodness than expected!
Just praying they told Gleeson to dramatically tone down the over the top Hitler impersonation this time around.
Picked up Princess of Alderaan and Rebel Rising today. I've got some catching up to do.

This is an interesting combination of books. I think you'll find that reading them together will make it seem like a comparative character study - they both take place during similar times in the main characters lives, deal with their first loves, how they came to the rebellion, their adoptive father figures, etc.
Leia and Jyn are really two sides of the same coin. That thought first came to me when I saw that panel in the Rogue One adaptation showing Bail and Saw talking to each other with young Leia and young Jyn by their sides.
No. We need more!
No it doesn't. It's a stupid retcon designed to appeal to the lowest common denominator of nerd. This is my favorite thing and they need to officially make this canon.
