Ubisoft has honored the beautiful and talented actress Humberly González by recreating her perfectly in its latest AAA release, Star Wars: Outlaws, as the protagonist Kay Vess.

Now that the game is finally releasing, we have even more media to appreciate Kay's immaculately sculpted and rendered look.

See if you represent the beautiful voice actress as a beautiful character in the game , thats ableist , tisk tisk equal representation in 2024 guys!

Please, no one take this the wrong way, Im just the messenger and Im posting what I saw a youtuber who has ties in the entertainment industry say, because I thought it was interesting. His friend who is a graphics artist said the reason why western publishers are making women look like this is because they dont want to offense or alienate trans players. I dont know if its true or not, but there are very few western devs that actually recreate characters based on the face models.

My initial theory was that devs wanted to avoid the male gaze, but they can avoid that by putting less polygons and curves on a female protagonist physique or dress them in clothing to cover them up. To actually change how the face model looks doesnt make any sense because it no longer looks like the person they paid to scan.

Oh another thread where someone picks screenshots in odd light conditions. Everyone looks odd if you make a video of her/him and stop at certain points, while they speak.
So far In the reviews I saw nothing that shocked me like in mass effect Andromeda or ac unity.

So far it looked that the general light conditions for her hair in the final game got a bit better. But yes, some reviews outlined that the main character seems to be low detailed outside of "movie" scenes, even on PC with max details.

That literally makes no sense. Why would a trans gamer be offended by an attractive woman?

Separate question: why would anyone give a shit even if that were the case? What are they: like 0.2% of gamers?

Well then go find an image of Kay Vess in the best light condition then. We'll wait.

You’re kidding, right?

Western AAA devs have been pandering to the small vocal minority for several years now. They’ve made it very clear they do not care for the “legacy demographic” that this industry was built by.
The same demographic that continues to keep it afloat, year after year - despite the industry slapping them in the face and turning its back.

I’m not kidding at all. Explain to me why trans gamers would be mad about attractive people?

Wait, they actually intended to recreate her looks? Also, why do the latest games’ character models all look like the characters are from two generations ago. Almost Skyrim quality.
