Man. I really enjoyed this. Just beat it. Had a great time. Gameplay was a blast with less rough spots than many supposed "AAA" games released this year.

Plot was ok and no where near as bad as the reviewers were spewing. Almost laughable to see reviews of this versus how much the couple of us played through it had. But then again we play for fun, not to write a review.

:D I'm glad to see some one feels the same way I do about this game. I'd give the game an 8.5 simply because I didn't want it to end as soon as it did. its such a fun game.

Does it look better on console? I'm going through on the PC maxed out and the technical issues alone are killing it for me.

I shouldn't have said thee best. I mean it looks real good at times but God of War 3 is still better. And yeah there are a lot of technical issues.

Ive played someof the game already, up to the fight with the Barons ship firing at me from a broken bridge...

The game seems somehow less polished compared to the demo I played before, i dunno... Lot more screen tearing and lag and load times. Layout and wave of enemies way too repetitive... Those Sith acolytes are so freakiin annoying

Gotta come back to it later tomortow

please tell me theres a replayable area where you fight nothing but JEDI! I hope its modable so you constantly fight wave after wave of force using jedi it was so much fun in the old star wars games.

You have basically played half the game already :p

Did anyone else's framerate crash during the casino area? It became a clip show for about 30 seconds. It was really bad.
The entire game crashed on me during this part. :(

I'm playing the PS3 version, and as I was running through the casino (slicing up a few space-slot machines along the way) the entire screen went black. After a couple seconds, I was booted back out to the XMB.

Game crashed on the bridge ship battle on PS3 for me.

The first level just plays better. Once you get past Kamino, Keito Neimodia has lot of frame drop areas and screen tearing.

I also play for fun, but I don't think I should lower my standards because of that. While I did enjoyed the game somewhat, the story was total garbage. It's dumb, hollow and lacks any cohesiveness. It even fails to move the game forward because it's so uninteresting. It's pretty meaningless too. It's a story that didn't need to be told, and I have a hard time believing that even the most passionate Star Wars fan would find anything worth of being remembered in this tale. The plot itself can be told in it's entirety in one line, which would be ok if there was any characterization. There isn't any, AT ALL.

The light side ending is so bad it's insulting. I thought the dark side was a bit better, but still lacking.

Basically, it's worse than most fanfics out there. It really is.

And I don't exactly have the highest standards here on gaf. A lot of people like to bash the story of the first game and I think it was great.

I think it was fun, too. I liked the pacing, the plot was at the utmost acceptable, the graphics are quite a big improvement over the first part of the series oh and yeah the music is decent, too for the most parts. But then it is way too short (not even worth buying it... sorry to say that. This is clearly a rent)

Additionally is it anything near my favorites? GoW, Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden? Clearly no. It's a good game (like 80-85% depending on how exactly you weight each element) but it is neither a bayonetta/ninja gaiden gameplay explosion nor a well crafted GoW story/gameplay/character mixture.

I would recommend playing this to everyone, but I didn't find it to be exceptionally good.

It has the Star Wars theme song, that shit's boss

I always said TFU1 was a bad fan fic, but this seems like they didn't care to even try to tell a story.

So yea they like clone Starkiller, and hes all mad and stuff, "sup yoda", and pwns lots of things.

After Playing Castlevania... I feel ripped off by Lucasarts with FU2.

I mean, the game has what? 3 locations(Dagobah is not a level, it's an excuse for Fan service )

Took me 4-5 hrs. I'm very happy I didn't buy this. Where's the story in this? Seriously.

My copy arrived yesterday from amazon and I have to see in all honesty that I'm loving it.

I loved the first one, the gameplay especially. I just have a blast using all the force powers, throwing dudes over the edge, making them grab each other, picking them up then hitting them with lightening then throwing them at their buddies. It feels sort of like a playground with all the ways you can take out the enemies.

I'm about 2.5 hours in now, I know the game is short but I can already picture myself going back in using other costumes and saber colors. Game if fantastic. Bottom line is that if you want an easy game to blow through in a weekend, maybe head back in to see the other costumes, and just want to have fun messing with the enemies, then this is a great game. Also the game is absolutely gorgeous, cutscenes and in game, total eye candy.

The ad campaign is so misleading for this game. O Yoda, ooo Boba Fett, man this game is gonna be epic. They literally show up for a minute or two and serve no storyline or gameplay purpose. They were literally included just to be used in commercials. Disgusting really. Dagobah, the fact they even list that as a level is insane.

And ten hours in this game??! You could beat it at the hardest difficulty and 100 percent the game and wouldn't come close to that number. Not unless you watched idle animations for 7 hours, then decided to play the game after that.

Ok got the game here are some impressions as promised.

I love the look, the feel, the art style it all just works! The choice of colours, the draw distance, the little cinematic touches here and there, and the general polish all add up to give it a more 'Star Wars Movie Vibe' than the first game could ever accomplish. Even though the first game is longer, much longer.

The combat feels better than the first, but probably because I enjoy the little set ups in this one more. Mind tricking an enemy sniper for example, or reflecting freeze blasts or missiles into other enemies, force pushing enemies into giant turbines and so on.... it all just feels more dynamic and more like emergent gameplay opportunities.

If you read my comments earlier based on having read reviews and at that time not having played the game, you can see this is a big turn around for me. At this point I think this game is a keeper. Yeah its short and the story isn't anything groundbreaking, but hell if this isn't a great game with some terrific designs and fun gameplay.

A 7 ish score is probably warranted If your using the entire 10 point scale.
Oh did I mention this is pretty?!

I assume you're on the second stage? I remember thinking something along those lines at this point in the game. To me the first two stages were great, but it went downhill after that.

It's funny because the second level is by far the best looking of the bunch. To me it was the most fun too.

Does anyone know if you can take your leveled character to a harder difficulty, or do you have to start with a clean slate?

Are they fucking serious, locking the FPS at 30 on PC again? Why the fuck does Lucasarts keep farming these ports out to Aspyr. They fucking blow. Also, there is no v-sync and forcing it through control panel or through d3doverrider with triple buffering makes the cutscenes choppy as shit. This is fucking lame.

Not 100% on this, but i think you can do so if you play a harder difficulty via level select

I wavered back and forth for weeks between pre-ordering Force Unleashed 2 and Fable 3. Unlike a lot of other people, I really enjoyed both Force Unleashed 1 and Fable 2, so it was a really hard decision for me.

I finally decided to go with Fable 3 because I figured I'd get more playtime out of it. Having now played about 4 hours of Fable (and barely putting a dent in it) and having read the opinions of those who picked up FU2, I have to say I am sooooo happy with my choice. :)

When did it get added? Tried yesterday afternoon and it wasn't on the store so just said fuck it.
Just fired up steam and noticed it as a news items. Wonder why they added it so late.

Damn the big boss was annoying as hell. Either you couldn't dodge due to your character getting stuck in the ground or you'd get a clean escape and still get hit and let's not even go the the pos the last phase was.

Ugh.

Sale -1.

It doesn't make sense. When so many people complained about it in the first place.

What a joke.

At 40 bucks I would have bought it but damn.

Same group of clowns who signed off on the original PC version.

Took about 5 hours to finish the game on hard. Is it just me, or was the writing really bad in this game? Kota and Starkiller are really annoying, and the ending was just rancid. The last boss fight was tedious and boring.

Yea it's pretty lame. The graphics and gameplay improved, but the story was pathetic and totally lacking in content.

Game feels like a completely different team which is obvious since much of the first games team was supposedly let go. This feels like they just refined the gameplay a bit but lacked on everything else. The first game had much more story, locations, and in each location there was unique enemies to fight for said location. This one just has you fighting the same shitty enemies over and over again, and most are not fun at all to fight, like those fucking shield droids.

Games first two levels feel pretty fun and it seems like a solid game, but after that the game goes to crap with highly repetitive level design and gameplay. The visuals also seem to nosedive in the 2nd half with lot of low polygon models for objects and shitty texturing.

It's sad that most of the length of the game also comes from lots of repetitive padding. I thought the first game was a C game as it was entertaining, but this was just shit on a stick rush job. Maybe if there is lots of DLC or something and it eventually gets a cheap game of the year rerelease it might be worth something..... :p

Don't really have a problem with the light side ending (which is the one thats part of continuity apparently), but the Dark Side ending was so much much better and would have made for an interesting sequel basis.

I agree with everything here. The game was sorely lacking. Especially after playing Castlevania, this game can't pass for anything. When it ended, I was like, 'It's...over? Now? Where was the game?'.

I haven't even cracked open this game yet because I was trying to finish my Sith Lord TFU playthrough first. I have two levels left. I might say fuck it and just play TFU II already.
