Yes, in about 5 hours and 25 minutes.
Nothing. They're both the same.Xamdou said:What is the difference between the origin c.e and the Amazon c.e?
Agkel said:Im guessing here that the early access is a generic code. It doesn't matter what version you ordered since you wont be identified with the version until you input the serial from the actual game, whether it is in the box or emailed to you at the time of release.
It's what makes sense but I haven't registered mine yet so ...
Felix Lighter said:It's apparently associated with version you purchased. After registering my code, it recognized that I bought the Standard Edition.
I'd like to know this too. I have the Standard Edition pre-order tied to my account but if I find a Collector's Edition in stores I'm going to buy that instead. Hopefully they'll allow me to apply the CE key to my SE preorder.Xamdou said:What if I want to upgrade to the Collectors edition? EA won't give me an option to do this?

Weenerz said:Yep, you can pre-order without paying.

Is there actually any indication that CE gets more early start time? Someone was mentioning that earlier preorder key activators will get the first early start slots.border said:So is there anything to stop me from pre-ordering the Collector's Edition on Amazon to get 1 week of Early Access code -- then cancelling in favor a more reasonably priced version of the game later on?
Edition. CE = 7 days. Others = 3.Xamdou said:So the sooner you get Early access depends on what version you pre-ordered (C.E>Digital Deluxe>Regular) or the time you pre-ordered and activated your early access code?

Regular is $39.99 (likely price error):

It was somewhere on origins. I'm on my phone now, so not going through the hassle of finding it right now. I didn't really have to dig for the information though.Xamdou said:Thought so, any official link confirming it?
Source: http://twitter.com/#!/Rockjaw/status/93953857830404096@alexisamonster It's based on when you redeem your pre-order code (in the FAQ)
Dinosaur Tamer said:No, but you will lose your Early Access as soon as you cancel your order (at least it says so on Amazon.de). That move will stop working as soon as they stop giving out codes.
Pve is never pvp. So no you don't like pvp. But hey im totally ok with just having a seperate group that's on a pvp server. Its in my post you quoted actually.Trouble said:A lot of us don't want to be forced into PvP. I like PvP, but also like choosing when to PvP.
Dinosaur Tamer said:There has been a rumor claiming pre-order codes from the physical and digital CEs grant you a 6 day head start and codes from standard edition pre-orders a 3 day head start.
This is still unconfirmed.
Stephen Reid (Senior Community Manager) also mentioned something that would suggest a different system on twitter:

This has no way to flag yourself? I find that hard to believe.gatti-man said:Pve is never pvp. So no you don't like pvp.
border said:I gotta imagine that they don't have the kind of infrastructure to do something like that....tracking a single key back to an Amazon account, and checking to see if the order is still in place. It's not worth all that hassle when people will still be able to abuse the system by going to a Gamestop and throwing down $5 for a CE code.
I imagine the worst they could to is prevent you from activating you account with anything BUT a CE code (eg: someone who downgrades after receiving early access must buy the CE or start a new account).
HarryDemeanor said:So it doesn't matter which version you ordered to get the extra days? Everyone can get the 7 or 6 days as long as they put in the key earlier? So many mixed messages.
Chriswok said:The official email said that those who pre-ordered and entered their codes first (no mention of what type) would be the first ones invited to the early start. So, basically, an incentive to pre-order NOW NOW NOW!
You can flag yourself AFAIK. But there's never forced PVP in PVE like WoW has (Gurubashi Arena, enemy capitals (you can't enter those in TOR))Neverfade said:This has no way to flag yourself? I find that hard to believe.
Dinosaur Tamer said:Only EA/Bioware know for sure. There could be some truth to both versions. Like inviting CE pre-orders in a chronological order before doing the same with standard pre-orders.

Yeah. You'll be able to download the client from swtor.com or wherever and play that Saturday. We even get a few extra days after release before we have to put in the CD key in case the game doesn't arrive on time.MisterNugNug said:I preordered the standard edition from Amazon, with the code for the 3 day (or whenever) headstart, I'll be able to download the game client right? Since they're offering a head start, it's safe to say they will make the client available for people to download ahead of time.MisterNugNug said:I preordered the standard edition from Amazon, with the code for the 3 day (or whenever) headstart, I'll be able to download the game client right? Flagging yourself is hardly pvpNeverfade said:This has no way to flag yourself? I find that hard to believe.
Dinosaur Tamer said:Personally, at this point I highly doubt they will do that. I got a feeling it's just going to be first come first serve.
I don't think I care enough to cancel my pre-order over this. Any head start will be completely irrelevant a few weeks after launch.
