The problem is, I imagine, that the UK store probably has something similar to the US Store, which is a pre-order price guarantee. Which guarantees that the lowest the price is between the day you order it and the day you receive it, you'll pay that price. Amazon cancelling all the orders is a giant middle finger to that policy, even if the price wasn't known ahead of time.

I believe many people got StarCraft II for $50 on the US store since they preordered before it was known that the console tax would start affecting top-tier PC games. I don't remember any bullshit like this happening. In fact, for reasons unknown, I got refunded $20 of my $100 for the collector's edition of SCII, so the price may have changed (even if by mistake) sometime after I preordered.

BF3 is listed as a holiday title and it's in October.

My guess is early October to avoid clashing with BF3 and roll off of impressions from September beta and cut down on leaktime.

WoW doesn't have anything that compares to Advanced Classes. Talent trees are completely separate. This is like allowing you to respec from a Mage to a Warlock at level 85.

It's a huge issue for the same reason that allowing you to switch from a Mage to a Priest at level 85 would be a huge issue in WoW. I'm very disappointed to hear this.

yes, and it goes against everything they said about what you do impacting your toon.

Right now I can't think of a single thing you do in-game that actually impacts your character. Outside of typical companion stuff.

You can respec, you can switch AC's, you will be able to probably switch factions (they said you will be able to use the Republic or empire only races on the other faction but they won't say how, aka paid transfers).

Unless it's endgame gear, I couldn't care less. I don't think anyone gives a shit about dinky leveling gear. From what I've read it's only vanity gear and pets and shit, so who really cares? I'm not sure how that's "pay to win".

The Advanced Classes are now really no more than two extra talent trees apiece, reducing the total number of distinct classes to four. They took one of the most unique and interesting features and destroyed it in one stroke.

You serious? Plenty of MMO's let you change your class completely, like the FF series for instance. I actually prefer a system like that, as it means you really only need one character.
