I've got a crippling steam back log and once gears 3 comes out its game over (man).

I've given up on my backlogs. I've finally given up and I pretend my backlog doesn't exist now. I'm starting over. I'm going to do right by the Vita. I will only buy one game at a time and not buy another game until I beat that game (unless it's a SUPER long game or a multiplayer focused game or something)

Its funny you should mention the vita. I pre-ordered it the day it came out on amazon and cancelled my order yesterday because I know there is just no chance of me spending any time with it right now. Maybe in a year or two when we are in next gen drought I will pick one up but there is just too much I already want to play and I have a 3DS.

EDIT: I have to delete FFxiv from my SSD to make room for the beta. I guess Ive formally given up on that game. Such a shame, the art is amazing.

I would say so. This open beta is its big attention grab, then the blurays hit in the middle of september. If it was me I would release early to mid october to the pre-order people with an official launch in late october.
