wELL...this is annoying...I get to the character select, create my character, and the moment I press PLAY, the game just QUITS on me.

Anybody know what's up???

Holy crap, this game is awesome. First MMO I've ever enjoyed and not got bored of within an hour or two. It's so good. What the hell?

As for technical issues... none to speak of and it sucks other people are having issues. I just logged in, picked a server (not one of the 3 the welcome message said was overloaded), created a character (Sith Inquisitor) and started the game. Flawless victory. Played for 2 hours

I click on a server, it make the saber noise, the logo comes up then back to server select?

EDIT :Oh wierd.... now im in queue, but didnt select anything

Whitebeam server worked perfect for me with no wait times. Maybe try that one if you can.

Yay, got to the weekend beta later this month. Kind of bummed that it's not the regular one, but I guess it will be long enough to
check if it's interesting enough
find some bugs.

Welp, I give up. My account keeps on saying I'm already logged on, and when I try to create a character, the game crashes on me. What a cluster fuck! I hope they fix this shit so I can at least play the game this weekend, and if not that, then fix this shit for the launch!

Thanks, I tried that one and I am number 1200 lol, but at least its better than the last server I tried which had me in the 3000's

Most likely I got lucky and started playing right when it went live and less people were on. 1200 doesn't seem too bad, good luck.

I'm having a hard time with servers, too. I pick one and it goes unresponsive or throws up a queue that never moves. At one point I had given up on picking one and was looking through the options and it suddenly moved me to character create. :lol After I made my character it then proceeded to crash!

Character create was really nice though, I was impressed with the design and aesthetics.

Whitebeam's wacky right now. I connect into a >1000 queue, my girlfriend who sits right behind me logs right in. Sexism! :)

I attempted to reconnect on the off chance I zip right in like she did -- server claims I'm logged in already. Wha.

So the e-mail I got says there will be an NDA. Think that will be the case? All those people...would seem hard to control the content from leaking out.

There's an NDA but good luck to Bioware enforcing it. Game is coming out in a month and they've even said on the beta forums the NDA is ending "soon". By soon do they mean early access?

EDIT: About to get to character creation! Finally! I get to create a character for the billionth time. But it's still exciting!

Tim, what's your name?

The open beta weekend too all is probably when the NDA is being removed since anyone will be allowed in

For the beta weekend, it doesn't matter. A player doesn't get to the open faction planets till they are higher level, most people are not going to get high enough level during the beta weekend to get to any of the open world pvp areas.

I like that they are doing a semi-open beta weekend. Technically, there is no level cap, but nobody is going to get high level in that time. Should keep the big spoilers at a minimum before release.

I had a crash. Position in queue 415 after 5 minutes from being @ 545.

ANYWAY.

Game is definitely an MMO,

But superior to all others. You just can't compete against this, especially knowing what WoW has on the horizon for itself.

So far I have played a Sith Warrior to 5 and then started on a Trooper before the crash. Easy and basic stuff (who knew basic leveling would be so easy!?) so far, but I am digging what it has the potential for at max level in terms of PvE.

I Can't really comment on PvP at such a low level - also bitches need to stop being bitches and duel me. We are on a PvP server, stop killing rats or whatever they are disguising them as and mash 1's and 2's with me!

Lightside/darkside is also pretty good even @ low levels. As a SithW You get to
torture prisoners to confess for whatever they are accused of and have the ability to convince them in conversation to do just that and then torture them anyway - guilty or not.
I have been led to believe that the inquisitor can be even more evil than that.

Just going to play some skyrim while I wait.

I played as a Jedi Knight up to level 6, trying to progress the story as much as possible. Then I got to a boss fight against a level 9 monster and no matter how hard I tried, I could not kill it. I'm not interested in doing side quests or grinding since Skyrim is waiting to go beyond 7 hours played, so I guess I'm done with this game.

My login thing won't login. It says "Server Not Responding" immediately after I enter my info, doesn't even try to connect. What's up with this?

In a perfect world this game would play like an amazing combination of Jedi Academy and Battlefront and not like WoW :(

Game is pretty fuN! it frame rate kinda suck on my PC, but at least it can run halfway decently. I think the beta just made me pre-order day 1

Argh why is the anti aliasing option blocked out on the beta! I dont need super flashy AA, even 2x will do! I've been playing too many console games lately and I am sick of jagged edges!
