So, played a bit of this last night and it seems...fine, I guess?
I'm not that much of a SW fan so maybe that's why I couldn't get into it.

My friend and I both tested the game for the first time last night and spent a good few hours playing. We made it to lvl 9 and got our Sabers. My friend and I both agree that this is a very solid game, the Story telling is top notch and the quests are fun to do. Very immersive world when everything is fully voiced.
I'm very glad I pre-ordered this game and I can't wait until the full release. I'm wondering if there is a Gaf guild that will be playing on a pvp server in NA, Light or Dark doesnt matter.

I know it's a beta and all, but holy shit, what is up with all the bugs that won't let you complete quests? That seems like a pretty important thing that needs to work.

Luckily for me i havent encountered any game breaking bugs. Game is Fuck awesome. It froze on me once when i ALT-Tabbed out. Thats pretty much it. Other than that a few times the timer that comes up during a convo gets messed up, but doesnt really screw up any of the choices. WoW is such a joke in comparison to this game right now. Too bad its a month away. Attempting to play WoW for this remaining month will be hard but at least my sub end around when this starts.
Tried PVP.. it was fun.. but i was level 10 and there were some level 25 dudes running around. Not too much of a level playing field there but eh, dont care. Had fun regardless.

this game is great, definitely going to keep my CE preorder. I have one issue though. the UI and text is too small, even on my 42"lcd. Is there anyway to scale the UI or at least increase the text size?

Bah, I log off for a while to make some food and now all the servers are packed again, sigh guessing tonight will be riddled with queues again

Yeah I haven't been able to get back in the game at all today without queues. Installing Skyrim now. I have seen enough of this game to make me want to pre-order it.

Queue wait last night was horrible, but since I made my character I've been able to get in without a wait.

Well I'm a 13 Marauder right now.
I want to love the game. Star Wars is certainly helping there. I just haven't been wowed yet. Someone told me it gets better later, so we'll see. I might drop this guy and try BH sometime soon. Or play this guy until the end of the beta Sunday night and do something else next weekend.

I must say, I am extremely impressed with what we're getting access to. This is downright incredible.
On the flipside, if this doesn't pan out and ends up getting crushed by World of Warcraft like everything else has, I'm going to feel really bad for the people at Bioware. It's obvious an unbelievable amount of money, work, and time went into all this stuff.

It doesn't really need to compete or be crushed, it just has to get itself a player base that is willing to pay for it for a long term investment to make it work out. It will never compete with a game the size of WoW in terns of numbers, but it can succeed in it's own right like some other games have.
