I'm really considering stop playing myself. I crossed lvl 10 and I am genuinely afraid I am ruining too much of the game, even if I am currently playing empire.

commish said:You really think that will happen from playing two weekends worth of an MMO?
BattleMonkey said:Hopefully people are not playing in the beta the character they plan on playing when the game goes live. They are going to burn themselves out quick when they have to repeat all the stuff they already did.

Wow I thought this was this weekend?CcrooK said:From the dev tracker:

Fonds said:This may seem really trivial to some people; But is that new logo for the TOR website going to be the launcher logo? It looks nice
Also, time to promote our little guild a little bit again:
Want to play some PvP on the Republic side of European servers?
Join NeoGAF!
Moaradin said:Yea, the new launcher has that logo. It used to be some ugly bounty hunter pic lol.
Billychu said:~9% of my posts have been in this thread. I didn't think of it that way until now. Wow.

I realize the combat is largely similar, but if it's as responsive as satisfying as the mechanics in WoW I bet I could dig it.
swtor is WoW but with a star wars theme, so if you liked wow then you will probably like swtorACE 1991 said:Alright, GAF, give it to me straight. BattleMonkey said:Combat is very similar minues some things like no auto attack. It feels good and responsive, not laggy or unresponsive like WAR, LOTRO, etc. Whether you will like it though of course on what you want or are looking for. Being a fan of SW will also be helpful into getting into it. If your not interested in story line stuff in your MMO, then it might not be for you as it's a big feature for the game.
That's good to know. The main reason I didn't like WAR and LOTRO was the unresponsive combat.BattleMonkey said:Combat is very similar minues some things like no auto attack. When's the next beta weekend? I have a key and am good to go, but no word on a weekend yet.

Well everyone is going to be on it if I scroll far enoughJarmel said:Really surprised I'm on that.
Anoregon said:Another comment on combat: I've found that the no auto attack thing is pretty nice. It's not a massive different from wow, since at end-game wow you are using every global cooldown 100% of the time anwyay, but it's really noticeable while leveling up, especially as a melee character. You are always doing something, and it makes the entire combat aesthetic flow better since every ability directly transitions to the next without auto attacks in between.
Jarmel said:I disagree on this. I would prefer auto attack for single player content but when you're in a group, it gets disabled. It gets really annoying have to spam the basic attacks for every damn rakghoul horde.
BattleMonkey said:Once you get past initial levels you don't use the basic attack as much, and you get the effect of auto attack anyways from your companion character who is always on auto
BattleMonkey said:Most are just looking at the patch notes, yet to actually play the new build.
