Had a great game against a Zerg player on Xel Naga Caverns last night to finish off the evening, but unfortunately in the last 5 minutes my laptop started to really crap out and there was so much lag that I literally couldn't control anything. But the first 15 minutes or so were absolutely amazing, lots of back and forth action.

At the end we were both sitting on 4 bases with golds and throwing 40-80 supply armies at each other over and over and wiping each others forces out very quickly, massive deathfests. I was playing gates only with zealot/HT/Stalker(and archon occasionally if they could morph in after storming) against ling/roach/infestor. Feedbacking infestors left and right, storming the heck out of his armies and cleaning up with 3/2/0 zealots and stalkers. It was glorious. Until my computer started delaying my commands by about 5-6 seconds and I ended up storming my own forces as the Zerg retreated, or not being able to withdraw when I see an army coming and my guys were out of place and just got smashed. But once I build my new desktop my laptop won't have to deal with 200 food on the screen and storms and fungals and explosions everywhere, and it will be awesome.

In hindsight, I really need to start transitioning into an alternate tier 3 mid-game. I just kept adding more gateways and pumping more and more Templar/zealot/stalker rather than throwing up a robotics or stargate and switching tech routes, and a switch into colossus would have likely helped deal with te ling/infestor combo (and computer lag wouldn't have wiped out half my army at my own hands to boot!).

Also, I need to start playing with more sentries in PvP and PvT. M/M balls kite my stalker/zealots so bad it's not even funny, and I keep getting smashed by bigger stalker/immortal balls early on than I ever end up producing. I need to just get more zealots and sentries and lock him in while I smash his big scary armor crushing ball with my light units.

I'm coming back GAF! If anyone wants to help me get better with some customs(ie, smash on the scrubby platinum Protoss until he's only losing most of the time rather than every game) then by all means let me know. I need practice partners to criticize and help me get better.

Are you sure it's your Internet Connection? Those numbers seem fine to me. Blizzard servers are named attens.net so you definately hit them just fine.
If someone from EU is reading this I could ask they would do the same and post the results and say if they get a lot of latency but I don't think I've ever hit under 150ms to NA.

You could do few of these and see if there will be any change. You can even do the same thing to EU. Just write ''tracert eu.logon.battle.net > C:\tracertEU.txt' and compare that to NA.

I do hope someone else from EU can post their traceroute to NA because I just want to compare. Has there been a change lately and how are you experiencing the latency now? I do feel the difference for NA compared to EU but I don't feel it's all that bad.

Just as an example I get about 450-500ms to korean servers.
I'll try to help you more tommorrow.

Edit: You also could check if something is eating up your bandwith but if something would been eating it up. You would be getting a shitty connection to us.battle.net even in traceroute.

I'm on NA with Panda, MrMister, Corran, etc.

BNet ID is pykepresco, character code 225 I believe, but I will confirm that in an hour or so when I get home from work.

Anyone used to the patch yet? I still haven't ladder since and I still want to get a feel of the patch. So let's plays some games bromigos! 15 pool 14 gas; I put the evo chamber down once I have around 30 gas, so it finishes right when I have 100. Expand at 21 (I get the evo chamber first). Same build I fucked up against Corran; I got the upgrade too late, plus it wasn't a good idea to try on such a small natural area. But on Shattered Temple, Xel Naga, etc....nom nom

ya i was like wtf when i played my first game on 1.4, then found out that i could turn it to 100% it seemed fine but i had music and barely played so i dunno

learning bio tvp', had 2 tvps and won both of them late game, too bad they were high diamond (yup i'm facing diamond player right now because of my horrible mmr :( )

Does it always time out at 2nd hop and craps out after that? You don't have to paste them here but do few additional traceroutes.
