If you gave somebody your login details to set this up...couldn't they just use your login details to play games anyway?
Yes, but that isn't even remotely as convenient as it is here.

Well, then you wouldn't be able to login to your account.

I know this may not be the place but is there any Canadians or Newfoundlanders out there that want to add me on Steam? I have 9 but need 10 friends to get the Steam Hardware Enthusiast/Steam Hardware Beta Candidate badge. Thanks!

I'm starting to think they just slapped a marketing label on functionality that Steam already has when you save your password on a machine. It's so dumb how they have it set up. You have to give your log in info to someone else. This sounded amazing on paper.

My time played is still recorded on my profile too. Must be a glitch for anyone getting 0 hours.
I'd like to see proposals for a sharing scheme that would still have you buy games.
You don't get achievements, cards or steam cloud savegames when playing a shared game.

Share your computer?
Now share your games too.
Steam Family Sharing allows family members and their guests to play one another's games while earning their own Steam achievements and saving their own game progress to the Steam Cloud. It's all enabled by authorizing a shared computer.
I'm not in yet. It's nicer than de facto family sharing. But only one person can access the library at a time and the account has to be logged onto the machine used for sharing, so password information has to shared or the account holder has to physically log onto the machine. Which are the two biggest issues I was hoping they had a solution to.Have you used it?
Yo, as someone who finds himself extremely compatible with buddhist thought, I think that is cool.
What's wrong with you man? Just because you don't like those kind of games, it doesn't mean that their are terrible... please tell me what game it's good for you?

Well, there is philosophical/methodological compatibility, making for warm yet somewhat distanced interest, sympathies, and advocacy, and then there is cultural appreciation, pragmatic involvement, and experiential identification. This would be something for the latter things, and while humans are rather social, so it may likely be received enthusiastically, ultimately some individuals are more casual with their affinities, more given to being identified uniquely as their own, and aren't so much into symbols. I don't know which direction your girlfriend swings with these things. So is my GF, should I get her one?

Anyone notice that the greenlit released game counter went down? Wonder what game it was.
