I wouldn't really recommend the Polynomial. It's basically an interactive screensaver with bad gameplay.

On your profile go to edit profile and there should be an option there for "customizable URL".

With the current version of Steam it is not possible to make friend list groups. However the current Beta Steam (Which you can opt-in) allows you to do so, so that feature should be added into the regular version of steam soon enough.

Thanks for the info!

Hmmm which to buy... Gatling Gears or Serious Sam: DD. Leaning towards SS:DD since it has Steam achievements.

Any thoughts?

Thoughts? Why these people dont make fucking demos to try the games? :(

Anyone ever have this problem with Source games? Currently happening with DoD:S. When i use the steam server list manager OUTSIDE of the game, meaning DOD is not launched, i can see a ton of servers. But when i try to find a server within the game, after its launched, nothing shows up. Weird!

Bumping my own post to see if anyone has insight still :).

Gatling Gears is awesome. It looks nice, plays good and has a ton of content.

I just saw that it's published by EA and hoped it'd have the same features as many of EA's smaller games but no. No Achievements, no Leaderboards, no Steam Cloud... which would have been nice but not a dealbreaker. Then I saw it had a 5 machine activation limit. So yeah, fuck EA.

Guys when I tried to log in it gave me an error "Account Credentials Expired" it then had me re-enter my password and I logged in, just without a connection. What does it mean? :(

Which is worth more, the $.01, or the time it would take you to click both buttons.
The 1 cent. We all waste a lot more time here on GAF for no monetary gain.

Hey in case you weren't reading the other threads Batman is confirmed GFWL. I will just apologize now for all the people who got anyone's hopes up that it would be otherwise.

Damn, Gatling Gears having outside DRM and now this. Thankfully I've never had trouble with GFWL but I'd still rather not have it there.

why is everyone saying the farcry deal sucks? never played the series, but thinkin about getting it.
Mostly because it's like the 4th time in 6 months we've had this sale.

I hadn't bought FC2 yet though, so I just did.

I have that problem. Seems to occur randomly. Sometimes I'll be able to see servers in game, other times I won't. No idea what causes it.

Is Far Cry 2 worth it? Are the mass enemies when traveling really as annoying as the reviews made them out to be?
Far Cry 2 is totally worth it for the epic atmosphere. Many parts of this game are just breathtaking. I swear one of the last missions (a long walk through dense jungle) throws you right into Tears of the Sun.

The respawning enemies are only one of FC2's missteps, but I still found it worthwhile in the end. The environments are beautiful and it's very immersive (fuck me for using that word). I liked that you could approach missions in a variety of ways - you can sneak around with a dartgun, wreck shit with carefully placed C4, or just run and gun your way through. Ubi made some dumb decisions that hold it back from being a classic, but I consider it a flawed gem.

The game probably has the best first person animations ever -- repairing cars, pulling bullets out of your hand, patting out fires, etc. FC3 is gonna be even better in that department from what I saw in the E3 video when I saw the animations for searching a body.

Couldn't get into FC2, the gunplay mechanics were terrible and I didn't like the constantly respawning enemy camps. Also felt the graphics were subpar, everything has a plastic look to it.

FC1 is great though. I actually liked the mutants.

It's great if you're willing to put the time into it. The difficulty spikes at the start but becomes easier once you purchase some guns and the stealth suit.

What's EA Access?

That was on the Gatling Gears page.

Tried googling "EA Access", no results!

Sure is helpful for Steam to list the DRM without providing any information about it!

It seems like EA Access has been around since Dragon-Age: Origins was released:

It gets better. DA:O actually has a service running in the background 24/7. I deactivated it once and my DLC became unusable. Yeah, fuck that.
