Smoky, your point doesn't sustain because the simple fact that achievements are already present on Steam. Spindoctor hits the nail in the head. Except some achievements are useful in coop games. Multiplayer games should not have achievements. Or if they must, they should be designed very carefully so that none of them can disrupt gameplay.
