For some reason my steam icon in the task bar looks like this

Even though I'm not downloading anything. How do I fix it? Shut down my computer doesn't do anything.

delete clientregistry.blob

if that's not in the OP it should be

Oh my god, Hot Pursuit is SO good. Such a refreshing arcade racing game with a unique feel to it. I just spent about an hour just freedriving a Lamborghini exploring the map and the game features real-time day/night cycles as well as weather. Had a complete blast. Being able to take photos by pressing R3 during gameplay is also fantastic.

Is there any way to turn off the HUD though?

In the same folder as steam.exe

Shut down Steam, delete the blob file, start steam, it recreates it and generally it solves most general steam issues.

I get this if a file is not downloading but is suspended (for whatever reason). A forced resume of anything in the list normally fixes it

Just deleted a game and re downloading it now, still got the same weird icon. Nothing else is paused.

Wait, I think I found it. It was the Source SDK which was paused for some reason, and of course it didn't show up in my games list. At least I hope that was it...

Tried pinning and unpinning to the taskbar? This should force a refresh of the icon. Either that or check all your Steam games individually for any that are not 100% completely downloaded.

Been trying to resist NFS:HP all day but I finally crumbled. Then I grabbed Shift to go with my copy of Shift 2. Now I'm eyeing up the others for completions sake.

Steam is hazardous to my wallet.

NFS:HP needs to be purchased by everyone but it's such a shame the DLC never arrived for it.
It's like outrun on steroids.

I had hoped that nfs hp performance would have improved since earlier, but I still get pretty awful fps at medium at 1080p. It's probably my processor (e8400), so be ware if you're rocking a bit older tech. It does not perform anywhere near what paradise did.

Seems such a good deal. It's 12,50€ here, very nice, plus I'm on a MAC so this is very tempting but I'm very low on €, however my Steam library is soo lonely...

Kinda sad... =/

Is anyone else having problems downloading stuff? I'm trying to re-install Mafia II and it keeps telling me the servers are full.

And yes, I deleted clientregistry.blob (also, I already tried changing regions).

No, as far as I know F2P users still can't give TF2 items, only receive them.

How was everyone's experience with getting Deus Ex through Green Man Gaming? I think I'm going to preorder Arkham City through them and I just want to make sure everything went smoothly.

Probably won't be comparable. Deus Ex is Steamworks, you get a code and never have to bother with them again. You'll probably need Capsule for Arkham City.

Preordered, got the key pretty much the same time as the preload on Steam started so I could join in the fun. It might vary but yeah.

Batman AC is another matter I think since it isn't Steamworks. I think it uses Capsule (which I haven't used yet). Someone pointed out you don't (or can't) make a backup in this case; not entirely sure but probably because you can trade it back in. Again, no idea how Capsule works or if you can even touch the install directory.

Actually, I'm not so sure but can you even trade-in/resell a GFWL title? I thought you had to link the game's CDKey with your GFWL/XBL account.

Wouldn't buying it through Steam have the same stuff since it's a GFWL game?

Underground or N4S Shift and why. I like the Gran Turismo series, but also enjoy racers like Blur. Probably asked but can you use the 360 wired for the N4S games? Can't imagine playing on a kb/m
