Underground or N4S Shift and why. I like the Gran Turismo series, but also enjoy racers like Blur. Probably asked but can you use the 360 wired for the N4S games? Can't imagine playing on a kb/m
Should be able to. I use the Xbox controller for all my PC driving/racing games and it works great. Generally speaking, if the game is on the console it'll support the controller.

I use the wired 360 controller and it is amazing.

If you were to buy any games on sale I would go with either Hot Pursuit or Shift 2. I love both of these games to death and they are amazing racers on the PC if you have a nice rig.

Shift 2 is a great mix of sim and a little arcade. Alot of people give this game flack but I love the way it plays and the graphics are amazing when turned up. Has a great career to play through and the PC gets all the DLC for free that the consoles had to pay for. Also shift 2 has Autolog something that shift 1 does not have. Great customization and a decent car list. The list of tracks is flat out amazing also...there are so many tracks in this game.

Hot Pursuit...what can I say I beat it once on the PS3 and I bought it again just now to play through it all again. Something I just don't do with racing games. I love the arcade balls to the walls white knuckle holy shit how did I get through that race alive feeling when you finish the Hot Pursuit races. The other events are great as well and having Autolog to compete with buddies is amazing. It keeps pushing and pushing you to do better times. I willl warn you that it does have rubber band but it fits really well in my opinion. Also if you liked any of the Burnout games you will get a great vibe from this game as well

Agreed and would also put out a recommendation for Dirt 3. The game is so gorgeous its silly. That and you get rally stages, snow, night, trucks, buggies, the works.

Shift 2 is also a really fun time, but you have to dig into the tuning to get the lower powered cars to feel right on the road.

This too...Dirt 3 on PC is one of my favorite racing games of all time

Give HP some serious thought....so much fun. If you liked NFS Hot Pursuit on PS2 (one of my favorite racing games) you will love it.

Wouldn't buying it through Steam have the same stuff since it's a GFWL game?

Yes, it would still have GFWL. But you could still back it up with Steam just like you can with any other Steam game. According to their website, you cannot back up any game you buy from GMG (obviously unless you activate it on Steam or Origin.) If you have unlimited bandwidth and a great connection it probably doesn't matter, but for people with caps it's an unfortunate downside to GMG that I hope they eventually eliminate.

Having said all that, I still pre-ordered AC from GMG. Can't beat $13.

Curious, but if you've used Capsule, can you mess around with the install directories? Doesn't matter to me if you can't keep an installer or whatever, but I prefer to move the install path around to make space occasionally from my HDD to a portable one for other games.

Capsule is decent and you can move directories around easily. And it does keep a backup of the installer file by default for those wondering.

Dirt 2 blows Dirt 3 away :(

I can confirm that NFS Shift and NFS HP works fine on an x360 controller. I'm almost positive that NFS Underground works fine as well.

NFS Shift > NFS Underground by a large margin.

Edit: Actually, there's an option to rerun install scripts. I guess taht would allow you to move it around?

Really can't say I agree with you, I have loved every Dirt game but 3 just really clicks with me. Hell even the Gymkhana events are ok after I got used to them. I am a sucker for older rally cars and Dirt 3 just had tons of them.

Its cool. We can still be friends.

I can see why people dislike the style of Dirt 2 but I thought it was awesome. What I dislike about Dirt 3 are the abstract triangle-laden interface, that I can't gold an event unless I buy the DLC, all the handholding tutorials at the start, and how ... sleepy the whole game feels. It puts me to sleep.

I don't know how far I am through it but I haven't seen as many enivronments as I did in Dirt 2 yet. Fells like the game is half the size.

edit: I like the new Gymkhana stuff too, actually. I just wish I was better at drifting where and when I wanted to :\

It meant a small L4D2 update at least, and Steam losing connection on said game's map switch ending realism a bit abrupt.

Left 4 Dead 2
Encore Mutation - Hunting Party
Dead Air: The Crane - The alarm car is no disabled until you are on the street
Dead Air: The Construction Site - Blocked windows to prevent early triggering of the Crescendo event

Steam Derping here too... i hope this means DotA 2 Beta (a man can hope, right?)

I think they've been struggling with this last steam update. I had to redownload it last night even though I already did on the 6th, and the past few days I've been logged off Steam at least once per day for no reason though it hasn't happened today yet.

Anyone have opinions about Safe Cracker? I'll have to go ask Joe Molotov ("The Man Who Owns Everything") if no one else can answer!
