So, Gunstar Heroes and Shinobi III are gone. Firebrand doesn't want Shining Force 2 though. Quote me guys!

It's OK. Plays a lot like Sonic and Sega All Stars Tennis. Doesn't have any of the cool mini-games though, and it's GFWL if that's a deal breaker for ya.

nngggghhhhhhhhhhhhh

i'll have to think about it

this is weekend long right?

edit: and yeah, thanks Glass Rebel for Gunstar Heroes!

well, to be fair i only get paid to spend on new releases like this once or twice a year, hopefully i made it to release-aton. Im done though, Skyrim will have to wait. Spent every dime between Arkham City, RAGE, Deus Ex HR and other smaller games..

edit: oh and this guy who was in the mail today

Bought Alpha Protocol and Dreamcast Collection :)

I actually already got Alpha Protocol for free from DixonDownloads but Steam is more convenient etc.

Is it really worth playing?
Depends if you like espionage/conspiracy/evil corporation storylines. I hated the main character (no matter what you make him say he's still a total douche) and the gameplay is meh. If you spec your dude for pistol and stealth you might not NOT enjoy yourself.

I played on 360, and I think it's worth $2 to at least try it out.

*sigh* markot, if you're reading this, you got your code from GetGames, right? Can you play it yet?

Ebay. One japanese seller with a bunch for $32. It came with very minor blemishes and scratches, but i cant really tell if that's just the luck of the draw or the seller's fault. Considering the price ive seen elsewhere id still recommend it.

Well at least I got the CE of Shogun 2 for 35$ two-to-three weeks back, can't really feel too burned over the price. Too bad only one of the old DLC's is on sale.

Capy is the shit, but this is an Ubisoft-published PC release. There needs to be like a billion things wrong with it.

Are you insane? Yes it's worth playing!

It gets a bad rap because it looks similar to Mass Effect, but it plays more like a Deus Ex game. It has branching story lines, and you ultimately play the game how you want.

I hated it when I first played it, but I love it now. Anyone would be insane to pass up Alpha Protocol at $2.

Fuck yeah, Sega Bass Fishing for $2.24. It's been on my wishlist for awhile, glad I waited. Might get Crazy Taxi and Sonic as well, not sure.

Also: Alpha Protocol is rad.

Dammit, Steam is giving me that stupid error: "This game is not available at this time."

Trying to sneak 30 minutes of Clash of Heroes before I have to leave for work. Argh.

Alpha Protocol or Dreamcast Collection? Hmm... I can only buy one, I need to save some money :(

EDIT: I'd love that Shining Force 2, but I'm a junior :lol

Lol, all summer I actually have slowly and steadily been working through my backlog despite picking up steam deal games.

And now I picked who knows how many games with the two sega game packs and the daily deal puzzler.

I am back where I started or even worse!

Dreamcast collection is $3.50 here. I can hook you up.

Genesis Pack is tempting but LOL Backbone.

Pretty sure it isn't Backbone.

I already owned a few of the games and they run perfectly as far as I can tell. Plenty of options, save states, full configurable pad support and optional filters.

Well worth it.

Coming home from uni and finding a neat mail from GetGames with my Might & Magic code is awesome.

Putting the code in and not finding it in your library is not.

Its not showing up in my library either

Alpha Protocol and Space Channel 5 Part 2 individually. The other Sega games don't age as well but SC5 is groooovy! It will warm your heart.

I wish they had Sonic Adventure 2 in the Dreamcast collection. :(
I know that feel, bro. It was so much better.

This sale made me realize Alpha Protocol is the only PC game Sega has made that I care about. And I already own it.

The next game is Renegade Ops, which they are handling terribly so far.

Ionic said:
Besides the delay on the PC version, what else has gone wrong?

It's not so much that it's delayed that is bothering me, but rather the fact that they haven't actually told anyone when the game is coming out. But that's the only thing.

any MP activity for Aliens Vs. Predators?

I've played some of it, and its general averageness is canceled out by my love for the two franchises. If MP is still somewhat active I'd probably bite.

So the Sega Genesis Classics Packs 1-4 are $1.87 each = $7.48. That's one penny cheaper than buying the Sega Genesis Classics Collection at $7.49, right? I don't see any advantage of one over the other.

I wasn't trying to be cheap, but in the process of rationalizing purchasing onesy-twosy games I bought the packs and realized it was lower.

I don't expect it, but do any of them have online play?

All the Backbone classics on the 360 did. Frankly whatever imperfections there were in the emulation, I'd take those versions over not having online play. I loved playing Streets of Rage 2, Golden Axe, and Gunstar Heroes with friends online.

So, how's Alpha Protocol? It is by Obsidian, so I might bite. But would like some impressions first.

It's one of the best RPGs of last year. Combat is a bit clunky and unbalanced, but everything else is stellar. But seriously, it's $2. Just buy it.
