Deus Ex updated. 12MB. Should I panic? :p

Unfortunately the recently released patch had a negative impact for some players. This patch is a hot-fix to address those issues.

- A specific issue that caused performance degradation for some DX9 players in the 1.2.630 patch has been fixed.
o We are still evaluating further measures to counter stuttering and plan to have a further update for this in another patch.
- Crashes when examining quest items have been fixed.
- Some issues related to switching between fullscreen and windowed mode have been fixed.
- Additional fixes have been made for the TYM medical card. The current fix should also allow users that already have the problem in their savegame to pick up the card again.
- ‘Russian’ text language option now shows up correctly regardless of current text language.
- An issue that may cause the game to have stability issues on certain RAID setups may have been addressed. Even with this patch, if you have a RAID setup, please ensure you have the latest drivers for your controller.

In addition to stuttering and performance problems we are continuing to investigate any other issues that players may have and will release a full new patch soon that also includes the previously mentioned 3DVision and Surround support.

Mass Effect isn't even in the same league as Alpha Protocol.
Right! Mass Effect is a poor man's RPG for the masses and Alpha Protocol is the one for people with good taste ;)

will buy!

So my friend bought Sega Classics 4 over the Summer. He expected each game to count individually on his library, but it instead just lumped everything together under one "Sega Classics Pack 4" in his library.

All I want is Shining Force I and II, since I own all of the other ones in some other form. If I bought each individually, would they be separate on my library, or would I be stuck with just some stupid ass "Sega Classic Pack 4" on my library or something like that? It's really not a big deal, but it seems really annoying to me why Sega would do that.

Holy crap. 3bucks for Alpha Protol? that is criminal! If everybody doesn't buy this game now you should be banned from Gaf.

PC version is awesome and well worth it. I enjoyed it more than Mass Effect, took me about 20 hours to finish it.

How does Sega Bass Fishing run?

I only checked it out for about ten minutes, but it's not a total disaster. It only supports a limited amount of resolutions (no 1920X1080) but at least it can be ran at 1280X720 windowed so it's not super tiny. It is locked at 60FPS, which is nice.

My time with it was brief, so I can't say much about crashes or bugs, but it seemed playable at least. It's pretty clear that Sega didn't put much effort into the port, but it works. It is annoying that it displays keyboard prompts when I'm playing with my dualshock through motionjoy, so I had to learn all the buttons on my own.

¿Really? ¿i need to download the game two times because the expansion?
That happened to me with Civ4 Complete. It looks like it's downloading multiple copies but it's not.

360 pad? Really? Still wondering whether I should get this or not (ok, I know it's like 3$ but I literally have at least 20 games on Steam I never even launched).

oh man, and I just bought the 2D Indie bundle a couple of days ago, now tempted to get Alpha Protocol, but $2 is very hard to resist...

I caved and bought Alpha Protocol. You can't go wrong with $1.99 for a retail game. I hope I like it.

I already own the 360 version, but for $2 (and the fact that I want to play it again), it's an incredible price for such a great game.

So should i just get Empire: Total War, or is Napoleon worth it as well?

also does anyone know if A V P has even a somewhat active MP base?

Hi guys. Is the Total War Mega Pack worth it? I love the Civilization series, I kinda like King Arthur the RPG. Will I like the series?

Pretty much the same game, I think. Except in Empire you can invade the Americas. Not sure if you can do that with Nap or not.

Multiplayer is deader than dead on AVP.

King Arthur basically took its template from Total War.

I only tried the Shogun 2 Demo so I'm not sure if it's a good base of comparison.
But in Total War, you get alot more control over combat (there's a whole mode dedicated to it)
Else the overall world mode is pretty similar to Civilization, just whether you like the Combat/RTS-ish Combat mode

Does the fact that they are both EXACTLY the same size not give it away? they're the same files just listed twice due to a fault in Steam.

So TW has the option of auto battles or RT battles and an overworld map?

:(

Pause one, let the other download, and you'll see that the paused one grows in size. They share the same files.

Best way to sort it in your head is to pause one while the other downloads, and once the first one is done, resume the other.

Big thanks to Wilflare who helped me purchase Alpha Protocol and Aliens vs Predator.

Another shout out to Mojimbo who gifted me Alpha Protocol, unfortunately I had just purchased it. :( <3 SteamGAF

Edit: Where are people seeing the megadrive bundles split into certain categories? I only see the Megadrive classics collection for $10?

So, is CoH: Tales of Valor worth it for 3.99?

I have the first two titles in the series, and I liked them. I played the shit out of the original, and less so for Opposing Fronts.

Is there a way to buy the Dreamcast collection for the European price by just affixing cc=xx to the url?

edit: I'm guessing probably not.

I bought DNF from Impulse, which of course registers on Steam. I wanted to buy another copy for my son, but Impulse says I can't buy another copy. :(

Anyone willing to buy it for $10 and trade me the key for something of equal value on Steam? Please PM if so.

Or any of the people I sent free Steam games to in the past? ;)

Anyone else having trouble connecting to Steam?
I sure was, first of I got a message saying that Steam has never connected from this machine and then I had to type my password, then it said it couldn't connect to the Steam servers.

I tried again and it seems everything is ok.
