are your directx drivers up to date? Also try to verify the game cache.Bucket-o-roadkill said:No, I'm using Windows 7 64x for this

I didn't watch G1 either, but I thought it was a pretty serviceable TPS. Controls clunky? A bit since you can't rebind controls for special abilities and such. Did you get the 60 fps unlocker, because that makes a hell of a difference.coopolon said:Wow, just tried out Transformers. Did not like at all! The controls felt clunky, the enemies were bland, and I didn't understand WTF was going on. Maybe because I never watched Transformers as kid and therefore don't know anyone besides Megatron and Optimus Prime?

Oh ok, I'll just press the legs button and the head plus button to run. It even says it when it's teaching you. "Press *fist* to punch". I'll get used to it but right now it just screams "sloppy port". It was $6 though so not a big issue.
Wow. If I were you, I'd take the chance right now to get away from a company who does things this way. I'm so glad I didn't latch onto the 360 when it came out specifically because of Live.EternalGamer said:Same. After this sale, I actually decided not to renew my Gold membership which was up this month. But it was set to auto-renew so they are now holding my account hostage since they couldn't charge my card due to the fact that I canceled the card because of the PSN debacle.
At any other time, I would have cared. But now, if they want to flush the account, I'm not sure it bothers me that much. I have so many great games to play on Steam now, co-op and single player that I don't see myself needing Live anytime soon.
Except for the fact that Guardian Heroes HD comes out in a few months...
Damnit.
My Gold expired a year plus ago . . . I didn't even notice.EternalGamer said:Same. After this sale, I actually decided not to renew my Gold membership which was up this month. Which is odd, because AC1 had the symbol and the keybind during those situations, so I never really was confused what the puppet buttons were or what to press coming into AC2. If you have a 360 controller it's probably easier since they are colour-coded with the face buttons.Leatherface said:lol I swear I was just ready to post the same thing. I would have never bought the damn game if I knew it was going to be like this. pisses me off. OH PRESS THE HEAD BUTTON!! lol
The way they changed the controller icons away from the easy-to-understand icons in AC1* is bizarre. ..but besides those icons, it's a pretty brilliant port.Darklord said:I was trying out AC2 after buying it on steam. That's why you play it with a controller. I had the same complaint when I first started but now I love it. Some games are meant to be played with a controller and this is one of them.Darklord said:I was trying out AC2 after buying it on steam. God, what a cluster fuck that game is. I'm currently installing Mass Effect through Steam, but the download rate is ridiculous.
At an average of 100 kb/sec, its going to take me nearly 9-12 hours to install the damn game!
Is Steam always that fucking slow? I'm beginning to regret it now, even downloading Witcher 1 through GOG was faster.
I bet my wireless router has something to do with it, but what to do?

Pandoracell said:I know there are a multitude of apps that handle moving Steam data around, but is it possible to move just the Steam application to a different drive and leave the games where they are?
My issue is that Steam is locking up on me constantly, and it's perhaps related to drive performance, as it seems to have gotten worse as I install more games. I'm not sure if moving just Steam would even make a difference as it still has to launch games from the other drive and what not, but maybe it's worth a shot?
