oh my god, according to the steam forums the games are being sent as gifts.

People who tried to gift me things during the sales know that my gift system is busted and apparently i cant recieve gifts for some reason, not even through email. I sent a support ticket but nothing.

I NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO WIN

;_;
You'd have gotten an email in case you had won. I'm sure they'd have figured out something in that case.

Speaking of updates, Star Ruler got a support with a bunch of changes the other day. I was happy to see continuing dev support for it (even though it's a Steam game, and no one including me actually plays games on Steam).

Interesting...

"Microsoft Game Studios Comp" is in the registry. It has one game, which at the moment is just "TestApp somenumbers".

It's probably Fable III, although that's already in the registry, but isn't referenced in the MGS listing. So it could possibly be something else, doubtful as that is. Seems strange that they would list Fable III again with a different entry name...

It's Alan Wake.

It's obviously Zoo Tycoon 1 and 2 complete, and all the old flight sims bundled together.

I wish :(

Halo 1 and 2 on Steam would also be cool.
Would hurt someone plenty for a GFWL version of Halo: Reach and Halo Wars. Mostly Reach though.

It's only showing as one game at the moment, so a collection seems unlikely unless the listing gets updated in the future.

But yes, Zoo Tycoon was amazing, I spent so much time playing Zoo Tycoon 1 back in the day.

"TestApp somenumbers" certainly teases something. If it were just Fable, would they have bothered giving it this "somenumbers" name?
The majority of newly-added games in the registry are given TestApp names such as this one. Eventually, they get updated to have the game's actual title, usually a short while before they're ready for release.

As you say though, it would be strange to give Fable III this sort of name unless they're planning on releasing some sort of Game of the Year edition
lol
.

That's what's making me think this may well be a different MS game.

I have no idea how it usually works. Probably just some rebundling of Fable III with another game already available or something. I wish they'd finally sell Halo 2 and Gears of War through Steam, though.

dont get excited

it's probably just something from their back catalog like the original Gears or Age of Empires III or something.

The Cthulhu game downloaded in less than 1 minute, but has now spent over 5 minutes installing the Microsoft .NET framework, and now it wants me to install XNA. Gosh, I hate installations. I want to download in the background and click Play when its done.

I would double dip on the original gears, haven't played it in ages and never on the pc.

I'm pretty sure it's the Xbox360 emulator Microsoft has been working on. They're going to give it to us PC gamers for free because they realized they've treated us so terribly in the past. It'll have full Steamworks support, rerouting achievements and matchmaking through the appropriate Steam service.

Can't wait!

If I remember correctly, wasn't the original Gears PC port kind of bad? Like, poorly optimized (which is insane for an Unreal engine game), really glitchy, and broken multiplayer to boot?

It wasn't too bad. When it came out I played it on an Athlon 64 x2, 2GB of DDR1 and a 1950xt on high and it ran at 40-60 fps. You just had to tweak some of the settings in the config to match up with the UT3 Beta to fix the stuttering.

Mp worked fine from what I remember.

Beat Hazard can now scrobble!
Intenet radio support should be done next week.

I love the Beat Hazard developer. Truly one of the best comeback-kid stories in videogames.

Its not even a compilation, it is one game. I don't know what comp means for valve, but it rarely is compilation.

Rumor on the street says they've only delayed announcing this because they're close to getting EA to support this pro PC initiative and they want a dual announcement for maximum impact.
