Damn! I just missed it. That's okay, because I just finished up A.R.E.S.

It was a really great little game and the challenges put up for the final achievements were very satisfying.

It helps if you either PM or post some info...

If you still have one I would be grateful if you would send one my way. I even have a copy of Terraria in exchange if you do not have it

Gifts is all gone. Hope at least one of you starts up one of the games.

Free stuff! First come first serve, unless I say otherwise.
I just picked one of about 5-10 reasons I would never in a million years gift a game to Gvaz.

Wish I bought ARES during the sale. My cheap gene kicked in at the last moment.

Yeah, give it a try. I'm not far into them yet but the writing is very funny on both of them so far.

Crayon Physics iirc is really awful
My daughter loves this game. I found it clever but a little imprecise. Not awful by any means.

New registry stuff: Saints Row: The Third preorders (no preload :(), and
Humble Indie Bundle 3 (And Yet It Moves, Cogs, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Hammerfight, VVVVVV)!
I already own 3/5 of those. Crayon Physics iirc is really awful, and hammerflight sounds neat.

Worth a shot, always cool to see people so generous. I am going to buy the pack tonight anyways since they look pretty awesome.

The suit you unlock for getting Overall SS Rank in A.R.E.S. is ridiculously overpowered.

Of course, at this point you've basically mastered the game so it's kind of a useless bonus.

What is Humble Bumble and how does it work?
Come on man, get with the program, there's been three of them now!

Anyways it's a donation program. You can pay 1 cent (though they'll guilt trip you into paying more to at least a dollar iirc) or however many dollars you want. You can then say "I want all these dollars to go to the developers, or to go to charity. You can choose what charity gets what % of your donation. In return, you get like 5 games. Later on, you can redeem them all or some on steam.

Well done. I'm still working on a couple of levels.

Only a few minutes in but Cthulu Saves the World is fucking incredible.

Does it stay this clever throughout? Also, bout how long is the game?

Hmm, I have so many new games in front of me I might have trouble picking one to start now.

I'm thinking Toki Tori next. Or VVVVVV. Or Eversion. Or Aquaria.

I'm about an 1.5 hours in and just hit chapter 4. It has maintained the cleverness.

Cthulhu + Narrator = LMFAO.

VVVVV is so goddamn good. Hard, but not too hard (besides some of the optional trinkets, I'm looking at you Doing Things The Hard Way!). And the music is stellar.

Start with Toki and play through it as you make your way through the other 3. VVVVVV and Eversion aren't very long.

Thanks! Stage Four was by far the hardest for me. Even if you know how everything the boss does work, it's still manages to be a pain to dodge it all consistently. I managed to squeak by with an S on Stage Five after taking five or six hits on the boss, so you have a decent amount of leeway but there is SO much going on at once during that fight and some of it highly unpredictable.

So are BoDVII and CSTW connected in any way? Meaning, do I need to play one before the other?

Story wise, no, but CstW is their second product and is a more finely built game in nearly every respect.

Cthulu is the better game so you should play it second.

That's what I'm doing. I rather play the technically "worse" game first, that way I can appreciate the improvements much more.

I'm loving BoDVII though.

Anyone have any clue why F1: 2010 launches in windowed mode. There is no option to go to full screen in the Graphics settings.

Press alt-enter.

I have f1 2010 too and mine launches in full screen, but if I alt-tab out at all it goes to windowed too. Alt-enter will change any game as far as I know from windowed to full screen and back.

Any impressions on Revenge of the Titans?

The trailer looks awesome but I'm not very good at tower defense games.

On the other hand, I've been floored by both Defense Grid and Sanctum recently.

Just beat Hamilton's Great Adventure (19/22 achievements, still haven't played the bonus levels + I don't have gold on the very last level, but gold on every other level). Probably my GOTY. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Shame, already have 3/5 of those games in Steam, and 1 out of steam that didn't impress me much. Bundle looks in general a bit weaker than past ones though.

Anyone wanna tell me if Zeno Clash is worth my money?

Its so cheap but I have no idea what it's about
I loved the art and thought the first person fighting had an excellent feel too it, but I can tell you it's not for everyone.

It's about traveling to strange places, meeting strange people and punching them in the face.

I ignored the game during the Summer Sale because it was "only" 33% off.

I also thought it was available on PSN, but looking through the Playstation Store, I see it is not.

Maybe I'll pick it up sometime.

Dropped it into my wishlist so I'll remember.
