LOL @ All the Retribution DLC. I remember it trickling out over the last year but seeing it all listed like that... haaaaaa....

*still has DoW2+CR in backlog*

With Amazon, a user's shipping address isn't used/required for digital products, and, more importantly, their nominated billing address isn't cross-checked against the address tied to the DC/CC itself.
Interesting...so where do I get a US address to use? Just bum one off of Google?

Lol, TBH I was/am not convinced we're doing ourselves a favor by running our best stuff before the Steam event. We're going to try it but I have concerns about people "waiting" to see what the competition does, and then being upset when we don't re-run some of the stuff we ran early in ours.

This happened over holiday, we ran Deus Ex: HR at $9.99 in NOVEMBER and Saint's Row the Third at 50% off the first week of December, but people were waiting to see what was going to happen on Steam. Then they didn't have those price points and customers wanted us to re run ours...which was not feasible.

We'll see though, our opening deals are pretty ridiculous so I'm hoping it pans out.

At the end of the day it is all valuable data and the people who take advantage of our best deals are getting some killer content for a great price.

Cheers,
Tony

Well you guys will pretty much have steam beat for MW3. Very likely that Max Payne 3 and Spec Ops won't be matched either.

Ach go on one last code before bed, it's not as big as the last one though so no rush people.
It's a strange mixture of D-day and Dinosaurs? wtf!
I will plod some more codes on about same time tomorrow, UNLESS of course the steam sale starts.

Took this one, thanks a lot.

TS to them. Steam sales have always been very rigid in their structure, so its not very hard to figure out what something will be selling for. So if you have it cheaper, Max Payne and Spec Ops. Its their own damn fault. For wanting to pick the prize after they see whats behind each curtain.

It IS hard to imagine some of these games being significantly cheaper anyway. I don't expect a 60% deal on Max Payne for example, it's likely 50% or wait until by the time the winter sales start. It's always a gamble, but with how low some of these go either it's understandable to not expect lower, or the loss is outright trivial: Deus Ex anyone?

It helps for me that Max Payne is possibly the only game I'd want for myself from the sales, Analogue was another one but they went and put that on sale ALONE today rather than as part of a giant summer sale, so I guess in a sense it already claimed a victim anyway.

Is Penny Arcade Precipice Of Darkness worth it?

3 euro for both first episodes.

I couldn't play the first episode for more than 1-2 hours. The dialogue was horrible (this coming from a long-time P-A fan) and the gameplay reminded me of an amateurish RPG maker game. So I'd say no, not even if you get them for free.

In my opinion, yes, if you like Penny Arcade. It's really not the gameplay that you buy them for, heh.

Hm, I'll hold out on it then.

God, the sales really need to begin.

I think that'll be my new catchphrase until the sale actually starts.

You could transfer your money to a friend and ask them to get any games for you?

Or stock the hell up on your steam wallet and use the phone client? Not sure what kinda technology you'd have available to you during said vacation. But there are a few ways to still enjoy the deals!

So i live in Canada and signed up for Amazon.com using the Google headquarters address like was mentioned before. Everything went fine. I then proceeded to put in my CC info and that went in fine as well.

Since I am only using this for purchasing downloads and taking the keys and putting them into steam I am assuming that I should be good to go no?

Also, all the games that are going to be part of the amazon sale, are they all steam compatible? I'm particularly interested in The Darkness II.

Most of em will be Steam compatible. It'll say so in the description or title. The Darkness 2 is Steamworks. The same goes for Spec Ops, and they'll even have Steam keys for Max Payne 3.

I just hope that the sale ends before or around July 15 because last time I tried to buy something during Quakecon it didn't work and I'd rather not bother a friend with buying me stuff.

Hm, that Indie Fright Pack looks like it's recycled. I bought that exact same bundle during one of the winter sales, two years ago it looks like.

I don't recall crossover between packs before, though. They seem to really want you to have The Path!

The Small and Big bundles are also really old. I know because I remember buying the Big bundle years ago, as my second Steam purchase after (what else) The Orange Box.
