Not after I read the actual player reviews.

Which ones? The comments on Amazon for all the versions are fairly positive as are the 'professional' reviews. It looks as if you like sniping there's not a lot speaking against Sniper Elite for 15$.

I have enough games in my backlog to last me about a year, yet I'm getting really excited about the summer sale. This is what it must feel like to be a drug addict... Gabe is my dealer.

I just used the new map as an excuse to play some Nation Red. I had forgotten how fun this game can be.

What are some other good twin stick shooters available on Steam ?

I have enough games in my backlog to last me about a year, yet I'm getting really excited about the summer sale. This is what it must feel like to be a drug addict... Gabe is my dealer.
On the other hand, I loaded up so much on last year's summer sale that there's hardly anything I would care to buy at this point.

Famous last words?

Also, Hard Reset is awesome if you like old-school FPS.

It can still be 12 July now even when I am in Japan.

And you may refer to me as him, Steve in a name should be quite a safe gamble.

Ah, I assumed that "now" meant it was around midnight at your place.

But maybe this was your plan all along.

Steve.

WAIT WHAT

THERE'S NO REVERT TO MANUAL IN TONY HAWK HD?

oh what the hell im reading they're gonna include the revert in tony hawk 3 DLC maps and you can only use it on those maps..

wat

nostalgia going too far. The revert to manual was just an overall improvement of the mechanics and it should be in every map, specially considering leaderboards and all.

Random games get cuts that stay there for the whole sale.

I would say so. I'm guessing most things will be on sale.

Nearly everything gets a price cut. There's a good chance it will also be part of a daily franchise deal.

Oblivion can be a daily deal, but don't hold your breath. I would guess Skyrim will be a daily deal though, and on that particular day Oblivion and Morrowind may be 75% off as well (as opposed to, say, a regular 50% during the sale).

Your best bet, as it's been said, is to wait until Skyrim is on sale, to see if Oblivion will also go on sale. If the discount stays the same on all days of the Steam sale then you can pick it up on the last day, without banging your head against the wall if you buy it earlier and then see it -75% the next day.

Hope I was clear. :p

Thanks guys. I'll wait for the Skyrim deal to see if I get lucky otherwise pick it up at the end as long as it at least beats the amazon price.

Does anyone actually know how to play the hard reset dlc? I can't find it anywhere.

Also, if you have the newest beta's on Nvidia you will experience very high amounts of graphical corruption. Be warned.

Hey now, this is officially a PC game we're talking about now. The modders will sort it out.

If I had cash I would be eagerly awaiting the Ubisoft pack. My most recent game from them is Chaos Theory.

I hope there is another program to get free games by way of achievements...

I'd normally not be interested in packs, but Sherlock Holmes pack would be interesting (except I probably already own all the Sherlock Holmes games), or a LEGO pack (except I probably already own all the LEGO games except a couple which I want to go on sale individually), or a Nancy Drew pack.

Okay so like, I guess my only option is a Nancy Drew pack. :p

Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on why there wouldn't be a capcom pack? I checked some of their games' sales histories through steamprices and they generally get a discount during sale time (lost planet, DMC, even street fighter).

Hmm anyway there's already a ton of delicious packs on that list, time to get wrath of the lamb.

I'd love to see a Sherlock Holmes pack also, although I'm mostly interested in versus Jack the Ripper. Ooh I hope my tax return gets here soon.

The Nancy Drew games are competent point-and-click games with some clever puzzles. Don't judge.
But do they keep it fresh? They crank out so many, you'd think the puzzles would start becoming familiar after a few.

Capcom didn't even have daily sales last holiday sale. Only slight discounts which everyone either owned, or were a complete ripoff. I think it might change this sale, but I wouldn't hold my breath for top tier capcom sales.

Not ashamed to say I've played quite a few and they do keep it fresh. If there are puzzles that are similar, they space them out across games so it'd be a few games before a similar puzzle came up.

Crystal Skull's the best one.

Wow, that's disappointing (condescending look at Capcom). I hope they wisen up to the positive effect of sales on customers. More sales (at reasonable prices) = customers who think they get good value = more future sales (at slightly higher prices) well that's my possibly flawed reasoning.

Ubisoft bundle actually sounds alright. They've released a couple games recently I actually want to play.

Is From Dust any good? How is Beyond good and Evil on PC? I really want rayman origins also. Hopefully those three games go on sale. I don't see any point in getting the full pack if I only really want three of them.

Because Capcom is run by assholes these days. There is a reason they lost all of their prolific employees after decades of healthy relationship.

Capcom = In the shitter

They'll need to come to some Sega Realizations™ after acting like this a few more years, but as of right now, I wouldn't hold high hopes for anything from them.

Capcpom are beyond awful at sales. We'll be lucky if we get daily deals, never mind a pack.
