Anybody willing to go in for a NA 4 pack for Borderlands 2? Im getting kind of impatient and I won't really have the time to sort through this thread during the weekend for a spot. I already have someone with me, but someone else'll have to make the purchase.

Is that why I had a bad headache while playing?
Yes. It's crazy how much better games feel when I adjust FOV. I was playing Stacking yesterday and the default FOV was kind of making my head hurt so I would only play it for a little while but then found out they had a slider in the menu and all of my discomfort went away after setting it to 90.

Borderlands 1 was really fucking boring solo player. I can never stand to play it because it's just so uninteresting and boring. With three other people it's pretty awesome though, mostly because you can fuck with people.

2. is Orcs must die GOTY worth getting? 3.24 is damn tempting

I've seen a couple of questions about OMD DLC on the last few pages. In case anyone is looking for more info/opinion:

I think the GOTY edition is largely worth it. The weapons in Artifacts of Power, in particular the acid bombs and floor burner, are fun and will make your playthrough more fun. I didn't use the other two weapons very much, but you might. OMD is pretty neat in part because there are a lot of different ways to play it - you can dream up some really fun combinations of traps.

The additional maps in the other DLC are pretty good. If you really want to save $0.24USD, you could skip this. I didn't play these maps as much as I wanted to by the time I was done with the main quest, but they did seem fairly challenging.

Now back on board the BL2 hype train....

Hey gaf, I've got a problem.

I installed the PixelVision theme and installed the fonts, but for some reason I don't have any text in Steam. I know the fonts are installed because I've used them. I have NO idea as to what went wrong. Suggestions?

yes, they were pushing the fact that the PC version will be the best and built from scratch to be a natural PC experience

for me: terrible FOV and awful UI management. They did stuff like using page up and page down to move around menus.

The FOV can be fixed in the ini, as well as removing the black lines that prevent any sort of AA from being effective.

Oh and there's the third person view which is also Wonderful. For $5 I'd say get it and get some friends to get it too.

EDIT: Shit, double post :/

I logged a ton of hours into BL1 single player and had an absolute blast. When I played multi, my friend kept running to all the loot before I could and taking things I could have used just to sell. He was way higher level than me too, it was dumb.

I went back to single player, beat the game, then beat it again. I hope they have fixed the loot distribution system in BL2, because there were some really fun moments multi.

Don't do it in NA. It's more cheap if the host is in the UK.

40,5$ in NA vs 31$ if the host is in the UK.

How is Cities in Motion? Any good?

I've only played it twice, once for the Winter Sale achievement, but I didn't like it. The negative/cautionary things I read about it before buying rang true when I tried it. Seemed sterile and (obviously) highly focused on one aspect of city-building. I guess if you are a transit buff and really like the science of getting people places efficiently, it might be worth a shot on sale. If not sure, I don't recommend an impulse buy - consider it and do some research.

I had always fun in Borderlands, no matter if SP or MP.

This is odd. Steam is re-downloading Fallout 3:GOTY every day. I was playing it last night, booted up Steam and all the game is being re-downloaded. Same with Space Marine and Dead Island, which were working just fine yesterday.

Make Steam back-ups, uninstall (watch the save files), reinstall from the back-up, see if there are still any updates.

Forgot my Login for Burnout Paradise.

Contact EA, useless as expected.

Contacted Steam to ask them to remove the game so I can re-buy it (next sale of course).

There is no way to retrieve your account or password, so effectively I can't play Burnout without playing in offline mode.

This is frustrating as balls. I hope Steam removes it so that I can re-purchase it at least.

Otherwise, I'll contact Valve and their devs as well as Criterion, and if that doesn't work. Lord Gaben will hear word of this.

Shouldn't it be the same as any other EA login since they kinda merged them altogether? If you use origin it should be the same email/pw.

How many do you have?

A few, but now I have one that I use specifically. Mainly for Battlefield 3. The problem this was prior to Origin existing. So I just made a quick account, never really thought of it. Now I have no idea what account I made to use for that cd-key.

That is why I am hoping Steam will let me at least buy another cd-key or re-purchase the game.

I know for a fact they have the power to remove games, so I am 100% certain they can do this. If not, I will contact someone higher up.

I asked EA, but they refuse to give me a new password or transfer the cd-key as I cannot tell them the original email used for the account. Like I said I have no god damn clue what I used to make that account. It's extremely frustrating that you essentially have a useless game, because their system sucks balls.

So I bought a ton of racing games during the Steam sale. I completely forgot how much I loved some of these. What is the best racing wheel I can get that will work for these? (Reasonably priced of course)

Logitech Driving Force GT is quite good for 150USD.

Hey guys, I was logged in my Steam account just fine earlier and then logged off.

I tried logging in again a moment ago, and a weird Windows message window popped up, saying that some Steam file has a virus or something. It then disappeared and Steam didn't open.

I tried re-opening Steam, it started updating on its own (it only does that whenever I sign up for a beta) and then a Steam window popped saying that file vstdlib_s.dll could not open.

Anyone else seen it before?

I'm thinking of just re-installing the damn thing. steamapps is the folder to backup, right?

Try running your anti virus stuff?

Prototype 2 is crazy fun, I think I've played through half the game today in a few sittings. I love the mobility of the character, the power you start off with and how it scales is impressive. It's just fun to jump and glide around the ruins of New York and, better yet, it's so simple. You don't even think about it, you just leap, bound and glide around. The missions are alright, a decent mix of stealth/infiltration and all out carnage. I kinda like that there's Hitman-esque hiding in plain sight segments. The combat is simple but fun and really bolstered by the constant stream of upgrades and new moves you gain by completing main and side activities.

Back in the day I chose Infamous over Prototype because they looked like the same game and came out at roughly the same time. If the first Prototype is half as fun as its sequel, I think I need to play it.

I've had the first Prototype for almost a year now and have yet to play it. I was going to but a friend told me there was a lot of escort missions and having to protect people which I hate so I was turned off from playing it and just forgot it was there. Guess I'll install it soon and try it out.

I really wanted the first Prototype to go on sale even more than half off :/

I played the first prototype up until the very end when they started throwing crazy frustrating missions at you

cant even remember what they involved, sneaking in into some places with the posses thing or something like that, and destroying some things.. I really just dont remember. I know it was like turning it up a notch on what was easily the weakest part of the game so I just wasnt having fun anymore.
