I don't like surprises and it feels like we're going to be disappointed tomorrow.
It'll start the same time everywhere, and if it is to start tomorrow it's 24 hours and 55 mins away.

But how many people are frantically searching forums for hints to when the summer sale starts?
I hope you guys who are demanding a sale that is bigger and more enjoyable than the last one realise the wider implications of your request. The lead designer of HL3 has been taken off his project and is now designing Jpegs to fit in with Cyl, Bodkins and Tappet's lore. He also has to figure out a better and more fun way for people to earn coal.

I made out pretty well with the coal shit last time. I wouldn't mind a summer equivalent when it hits tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if it was something completely new though. Valve likes experimenting.

Only the insane thought it would be today. Tomorrow is very reasonable and most probable.
I find it basically mind-boggling that anyone would expect anything this week considering the Meet the Pyro semi-major TF2 update blogpost week is STILL ongoing, and the developers with games on Steam said mid-July, and today isn't a Thursday, and there haven't been any clues of major registry updates with developer packs.
Next you'll tell me that Santa Clause ain't real. Pfft check into the loony bin buddy.
I was thinking about that actually. Maybe they're going to do it on the day since everything was known weeks before last year due to people looking in the registry.

Because valve can't do two things at once? Historically it has followed patterns of dates and tomorrow is the extrapolation if that pattern. Developers say a lot of things.

Not really. There are formulas in the cells so I can just "add one below" and the formulas will maintain with a minor adjustment.
I could, but it requires some maintenance, like the mentioned formula padding. I'll have to double check on how to make a copy of a google docs file.
Last year TF2 went F2P on the 23rd, Meet the Medic was released on the same day.
The Summer sale started the following day on the 24th.
Not all that different from the current situation if the sales start this thursday.

Actually my bad, I got the date of the summer sales confused with 2010, in 2011 Summer sales started on the 30th, a week after TF2 went F2P and Meet the Medic.

Yeah, I have been on that boat for a few days now.
If it does it will confirm that Gabe is unamerican. You hear that Gabe? You will be branded a terrorist/socialist. Summer sales need to include July 4th. Period. This is how it has always been. This is how it shall always be.
Also because my family is out of town this week and I need a glorious PC gaming binge the likes of which have not been seen since college.
