Fun fact: until today, i had three copies of DS2, one on PS3 and two on PC, which were free thanks to the Amazon thing back in January. I still haven't played any of them.

It's more of the same, but without shitty bossfights and it's got a Escape From Butcher's Bay thing going on that I think is pure awesome. It's really good.

Yeah. And at $5 that isn't really such a tall order.

I've been playing Payday with some other GAF members since the sale and the game is pretty fun so far. It's definitely similar to L4D, though there is less of an emphasis on forward level progress, with more balance in holding areas a la horde mode. Though each of the first 3 levels seem to play differently so that isn't always exactly the case. The game has a very distinct arcade feel; the systems and controls are very easy to pick up and understand. There are perks/upgrades to unlock as you raise your level all the way to 145 (!) that mostly serve as a means to make the higher difficulties more bearable as far as I can tell. Coupled with the promise of substantial free DLC (I think more campaigns are in the fold, but don't hold me to that) it seems like there is plenty of game and replayability to warrant throwing down on the $5 asking price.

It is.

Not your usual shooter though, you die and start over all the time. Leveling up skills and unlocking modes. Only one life. Usual normal mode session can be anything from 5 secs to as long as you have the skill to keep it running. And the music/gfx are awesome.

I got it in a bundle but I think it's worth the current asking price. At 5$ it would be an instant buy.
