I guess you are talking about Jonathan Blow, developer of Braid. He was complaining that Microsoft is pressing devs to put achievements for their XBox games but he was worried that achievements might ruin the experience of his next game.

Yep. But they seem to be the major issues whenever Shadowrun Returns is brought up for discussion, so I thought it apropos.
I disagree. Look at Gal Civ 2, an amazing game made by a developer who is not the most agreeable person. A lot of people care about how the developers act outside of the final product. When someone asked for info on Gal Civ 2 during the summer sale, Stump felt motivated enough to spend time describing the behavior of the developers instead of just posting an objective view of the game.

The stylized art of the game looks amazing. Its also great, because more artful graphics always age better than attempts at realistic 3D. Look at Final Fantasy VII, (and I usually hate this term GAF uses, but here it is apropos for the intended effect) the game looks like dogshit compared to current games. It is literally unplayable if you don't have strong nostalgia blinders for the game. FF1-6? All of them are still visually appealing.

So worth it... if you can stomach the ~year-long wait for the next three acts.
It looks good. And it's a ripoff of the Zelda games, at least the source material is good

According to Enhanced Steam, KR0 was only discounted to $18.74 during the sale. 50% off is a lot more than that. Kinda sucks to those who bought it then.

They topped out yesterday afternoon. Sales have definitely been slowing down and the supply is rising a bit since then.
Picked it up when game was released. Worth the full price.

It was up for a community vote at 50% but didn't win. That means the developer and Valve agreed to put it on sale at that price at some point. I wouldn't be surprised if all failed community votes that didn't get a daily or flash weren't a daily, midweek, or weekend deal in the near future.

The devs should have at least told the fans. I can see why they wouldnt, but I guess a lot of people will be pissed because they bought it since it didnt get the discount at the last day, now just 2 days later it will be -50%.

If the style of game intrigues you, it's totally worth it, even at original asking price. It's probably the freshest take on "decisions matter" sort of point-n-click in a long, long time, in that it doesn't totally hammer you over the head with giant blinking "IMPORTANT PLOT BRANCH HERE" and "THIS CHOICE HERE IS THE EEEEEEVIL CHOICE, WHEREAS THIS CHOICE HERE IS WHAT JESUS WOULD DO" signs at every turn.

The only thing holding me back from KR0 is wondering whether or not I have enough patience to wait for the next three episodes. But then I also feel like maybe I should support the developers. But then I also think that truly supporting them would be buying the game at full price. So maybe it all just cancels out.
