MSI Afterburner is what I use, Fraps is another option, some engines have the ability to turn on FPS display through the console.

aah i read that just as i installed FRAPS lol. gonna uninstall it and just use MSI's feature. the less programs the better and i already use MSI to overclock. Thanks for all the answers guys.

that stinks. i see there's some hacks to get the game at higher FPS, has anyone used any of them? i wouldn't mind modding it but i'd like to hear a gaffer's experience before installing a program that might be shady and a mod that might break the game's physics.

Be prepared for delicious frustration as things constantly go to complete hell. You will be in the middle of a great run with a jetpack and a shotgun and then one false shot and you are kicked backwards onto spikes and insta death. So annoying but so good,

I picked up Guacamelee and Spelunky for $16, from Dunder. Best $16 I've spent in a long-ass time.

I've been playing Guacamelee all day and I love it. Tough challenge but not mind-numbingly hard. Very fun Metroid clone that has a nice sense of humor to it and a good soundtrack.

I've only spent an hour with Spelunky and it's, well, it's really damn hard. But I see myself putting a lot of time into it. Has anyone had trouble getting cards with Spelunky? I haven't gotten a single one.

EDIT: Also 343's community manager announced that there will be no update on the status of Halo 2 until early next year.

Could be a good thing, if they truly are porting Halo 3. Also, makes more sense in terms of timing. Why would they announce a Halo Trilogy PC port during Gamescom, when they are trying to hype the XB1 as much as possible?

Is this getting an official steam release? I have been having a pain of a time trying to play this game lately. Everytime I turn off my computer and turn it back on again I have to delete clientregistry.blob and re open steam otherwise it think's Source SDK Base 2007(required to run Black Mesa as it is now) isn't installed.

Obviously not a big task but still a pain.
