Guys, I am running Win7 and I bought the Earthworm Jim games (lay off, I have a problem)

They look wrong, the color palette is all wrong. Should I be running in a compat mode or do I have to change dosbox settings or what?

Rayman Origins is a fantastic party game. Played it last night with 2 friends (yeah, very small party, I know) and we had a blast! It's really fun just to rush through the levels, and not letting your friends catch up with you, only to die and have them laugh at you for making everyone lose. I can only imagine this game will be awesome with 4 players.

And I really really really regret now not buying Legends from Dunder when I had the chance. It seems to be Origins on steroids, and after last night it's now one of the new games I wanna play the most. Oh well, just the one time I tried to be smart about my purchases it turned out to bite me in the ass. That's what you get for not buying a game because you think you already have a lot of them. Buy buy buy!

Had a similar experience to yours, played co-op with my nephew today and we had so much fun! If only the game have drop in and drop out online co-op :(

Probably will get Rayman Legends now since it's only 7 TF2 keys and I can trade the Rayman Origins gift from it as well.

I'm in a love/hate relationship with The Swapper. The game itself is great, but man, I'm so fed up of those 2D platform/puzzler. :/

In case you see my ducks on the market, the reason is I have speculated on the Steam market and lost a few euros.

Steam Market. Way worse than gambling.

According to the Steam forums (don't worry, I took a shower afterwards) they are TERRIBLE ports. Supposedly they don't run well in fullscreen and lack levels from the Genesis/Win95 versions. I have no idea if there's any way of fixing the color problem.

Yep, online multiplayer would have turned Origins into an instant classic in my book. Can't believe I only played like 2 levels of it when I had the Wii version. Man, I sure didn't know what I was missing!

A gamepad would make the game unnecessarily clumsy and difficult, similar Trine.

ah, it's that kinda thing

well, kind of a bummer as I just wanted to lay back, but not really discouraging. Still been looking forward to play it since release but havent gotten around to it

You can beat the game on your first life if you are good enough.
That's a bit disingenuous. I mean yeah, it's theoretically possible to just dodge everything and whittle down enemies and bosses with stats that make it equivalent to continental drift. But that's not very realistic or the design intent of the game.

Saying you just buy your way to victory is a bit disingenuous as well.

It's not very difficult to amass upgrades, equipment and runes to make difficult encounters significantly easier. When you're stuck in an area or a boss that makes quick work of you, it's possible to just brute force it through upgrades that make most things a cakewalk.

Yup, it's one of the best recently released games on Steam. This level was a bit tricky though, because of crazy amount of bots I didn't expect to be involved.

Joke aside, it is the game in which I have invested the most so far. You did well, I am still a noob.

The Steam Market alone was a good addition, but the Steam Market combined with the Steam cards is worse than a casino: it is a casino in which you think you can win.

Although it seems my earnings are positive overall, I think the 15% fee is not taken into account*, so I have a loss indeed. I had a gain of 15 euros before doing my ducky mistake.

* Could you confirm Shackles?

Because you wanted to fill the roster with the names of your friends then post screenshots of you shooting them in the head or executing them on the ground.
... What?
Why is everyone looking at me like that?
I have the game on IOS. Any reason to get it on Steam? New content?

Man I loved it, just couldnt stop playing it. I dont know why but I always love a good puzzle platformer. They are a perfect break between shooters and the norm..

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

It's correct, Valve records the price your buyer paid, not the amount you received. The total sales here adds the amounts your buyer paid together so you're correct in your assumptions.

Man, the market is really all over the place.
In the unsold list, it's price without extra percentage, in the sold list, it's final price?
Valve, please.

I've just installed your add-on and I'm loving it so far.

One question. How do I make only my listings highlighted when entering specific item page on the market?

What is this from?

Yeah it's crazy. Even crazier is that Valve only stores the price of things sold in the buyer's local currency. So Enhanced Steam has to total up the sum of 5 different currencies, convert them into your local currency (using up-to-date conversion tables) then add them all together to arrive at the sum.

The total in Enhanced Steam should really only be used as a general guide, since these currencies can fluctuate over time. But, it's better than nothing.

Thanks for installing. :) Unfortunately that's not an option at this time, it simply highlights them all (if you own the item) since you own that particular item. I'll look in to possibly adding this feature though.

For the listed price for when it's selling, it's probably so you don't get confused as to how much gets added to your wallet for when it does sell.

Yes, that makes sense.
The full price the person that bought it paid in their own currency, however, does not.

Do you go through each page (10 items) of sales at a time? I guess I now understand why it might want to fetch data on every page load but having nearly 1500 transactions and watching the page stall while retrieving data kind of makes it a hassle to have on.

Didn't know mine was outdated.

...Cards Beta was a good time.

But holy shit did I really spend $22 on cards? I mean it was all money received from selling cards but wow I didn't know it was that much. I'm satisfied with my level 20+ so I think I'm done with that.

Grief, any word about dayz at gamescom?

Can I still hope for a end august/sept release or do I need to go cry in a corner already?

Well it's a bit more complicated than that - it basically pulls ALL of your market transaction history at once and then processes it. I'm not sure why it's trying to do it each time you load a page on the market, it should just be happening on the main market page. Definitely a bug I'm checking into.

@jshackles. I need a way to disable tf2 key sales. My Net gain is £207.74 lol

Unfortunately with this, what you see is what you get. :p

Actually I found part of what I was looking for. I didn't realize you could directly query for your market data and set your own values. I was thinking of something else far too convoluted! Thanks for checking on that bug however.

so ive been messing with the Google Play Games thing now that I have a proper phone

it's weird how Steam hasnt tried to get into this market.

Like for example just make whatever games are available on PC and Android available to play through the Steam app? that'd make sense, there's plenty of games. Being able to play Plants vs Zombies on my phone and get Steam achievements and shit would be nice.

I wonder if they ever put any thought into that. Guess going against the Google store wouldnt sit right with them.

I just imagine that if Steam went ahead and sold games on their own android store or whatever Google would try to shut that shit down pretty fast
I don't see how Google could do something like that. Android is (was?) supposed to be an open platform, or so I believe.

They were working pretty hard late Saturday night on a Gamescom build. I saw several updates to the registry yesterday, so they are working their ass off.

As for a release, another milestone review comes up at the end of the month. We will know then.

You can beat the game on your first life if you are good enough.

This obscures the actual balance of the game; which is that it is nigh-impossible to safely navigate through an area until you get to the point where your stats allow for one-hit kills, at which point it becomes stupendously easy.

The market can be tricky, but it is possible to make money.

ah7nPFD.png

I managed to make a bit more:

fireshotscreencaptureqxko0.png

For the reference, 504.67 roubles is $15.337, 4808.82 roubles is $146.145 and 4304.15 roubles is $130.807 (according to a Google conversion). Virtually all of that money is from sales of cards and TF2 promotional items: the only money I ever added to my Steam wallet was the $5 I used to buy some TF2 tour of duty tickets back when the MvM update launched.
