Some people are more prone to detecting the differences. I have a friend (and so can I, sometimes) that can notice the refresh rate of Fluorescent Lamps and using a computer monitor with a lower than 60hz refreshrate drives him crazy.
I've been saying that I can't notice a single frame above 60fps, but I don't think I ever had a monitor that displayed at a faster refresh rate than 60hz, so there's that.
Maybe my older Samsung 19incher did, as it was a tube monitor, but I think I ran it at 60hz anyway.
Oh god, those PAL audio tracks are messin with my head!
Holy shit
That ending to Bioshock.
You will be blown away.
Overall game has a few issues.
Stuttering
Artificially lengthened at points
bullet sponge enemies
Checkpoints are too spaced out
But it is an excellent game overall.

That, and the butchery of Vampire Killer, are quite informative. I find I can live with 30fps generally, but I look forward to a day when 60 is standard.
Speaking of that I noticed a TF2 update but the bioshock items are still locked. I would really like to sell these steam.
damn you
how long to beat?
Wait...which Bioshock is this?
I really should get back to playing Bioshock. I feel like I've put like 7 hours into the game but apparently it's only 4, and apparently that's only like 30% of the game. Feels kind of a chore at this point.

Thought I'd ask this here cause I'm not a console person at all but can somebody please give me a brief summary on wtf this teamcg / teamreal shit is?
I can't believe any rational person would think that was CG.
Would Konami really allocate $500,000+ to some random, un-marketed interview?
The answer is no.
And if you wish to argue with me about the cost, go ahead. I ask that you first go and do some research and educate yourself into the actual costs and man hours of developing such a project.
First go read about the costs that goes into one Skullgirls character. Then watch FOX engine presentation during GDC the OP is referencing.
I was expecting the Tomb Raider items to be marketable with the update, but unfortunately they are not.

Speaking of locked inventory. I have items from X-com, The Cave, Dishonored that I'm not able to sell. The others items I have are from Don't Starve, Company of Heroes 2 are of course not marketable, what gives? I don't play TF2 I just installed it and all these items popped up. Read the faq, have steam guard enabled etc.
That entire MGS thing reminds me of the Indoctrination theory from ME3. People unpack the assets, compared the textures, tried to find clues in the dialogue to create that crazy fan theory that the entire ending was a dream.
Humans are really strong at believing anything as long as there is some kind of "proof" behind it.
Why is your tag changed?
It slows way down in the middle/end as they try to artificially lengthen it. The issue is kind of exasperated by the bullet sponge enemies.
I suggest picking it back up again, once you get to the Comstock house it starts picking up again.
I think the mods just woke up and realized how inaccurate it was.
I'm guessing my tag is gone because of the comments I made in the original long ass thread about whether that dude was CG or not, but I don't know why they took it away when I voted for Real when the poll went up. I thought that was the entire point of having a poll but instead I was penalized anyway despite picking the right choice.
I just popped in to the thread like 20 minutes ago and immediately noticed it was CG.
Team CG here.
No matter how far gaming tech progresses the eyes always give it away
I'm new to the thread so forgive me for repeating what has probably been said a lot, but those eyes give the CG away. I don't think I've ever seen a human do a slow half blink like that, unless they were purposely trying to.
That's still some really impressive stuff though.
You need to purchase something from the Mann Co. Store in order to sell stuff from your inventory unless you got TF2 from The Orange Box.
You need to add funds (a minimum of £5.00 - not sure how much it is in other regions) to your wallet. You should buy the cheapest possible item in the Mann Co. Store and spend the rest of wallet funds on games, if you aren't playing TF2.
Someone found and linked all of your posts about believing it was CG.

Yeah I didn't even watch the video with keighley, I just saw some gifs and it made him look like it could have been. I guess that's my fault for not really paying attention to it.
And that would have been a far better ending than what we got, Extended Cut or not. That entire MGS thing reminds me of the Indoctrination theory from ME3. Why would you ever judge fidelity of anything through shitty gifs ripped from a shitty youtube video?
It didn't seem like something people were going to take as seriously as they did. I certainly didn't care that much about it.
Try right-clicking it, choosing Properties, Change icon and browsing until you reach the .exe of the game, select it and the icon within, and there you go. Probably.Quick/weird question from a Steam noob. Is there a way to get a proper desktop icon for a game that is installed? I bought and installed 10,000,000 and the icon is just a white square. Thx

This is not what he means. The developer of the game 10,000,000 did not include an icon for the game, so if he does what you described, he gets a generic white page icon (I have this game as well and just tried it).Right-click the game on Library and choose "Create Desktop shortcut". They usually come with the icons. Not sure about 10,000,000 especifically.
Getting into the PC space is a slippery slope. I've got two dozen games I'm eager to play in my library but every time I open steam I just start thinking about how I still want to grab Terraria, Shatter, They Bleed Pixels, Frozen Synapse and Awesomenauts before the sale ends. What is this new disease?

This is the same problem as Cave Story+
I'm stuck in Machinarium. I was doing fine, but I guess it's too hard for me. I suck at point & clicks.

I found some of the puzzle design to be very obtuse. You aren't the only one who hit walls.
I think the mods just woke up and realized how inaccurate it was.
Pretty sure it was this.
They could have left up as a funny sarcastic tag though, that would have fit.
It has some hard puzzles in my opinion. Take a break once in a while.

Wow, so I'm not that stupid then. Or we all are, lolI thought I was alone in that, I couldn't beat it, had to cheat pretty damn early on.
